Same day, same old drudge.
Delivered 90 catalogues this morning, morning and evening post runs, chatted with DS2, DS3 and DD1 on the phone, got on with a pile of paperwork and sorted out some of the next programme....
Boys coming round tomorrow for the day! :j0 -
Boys came round for the day which was great. Did some shopping this morning at Tesco's (£8.80, eight Clubcard points ) but just chilled all day with them. Took them back about 7.00pm then came home and did my paper round...:D
Morning and evening post runs as usual today and again tomorrow. I've got circa 140 catalogues to do tomorrow plus 120 more papers. The next football programme is coming through in dribs and drabs now plus I'm collating the articles too ready for Monday's deadline.0 -
Sounds like you are busy again, Chip

Today has been a l-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ng day.
Woken up at 3.00am by a random text message from the twins mum meant for someone else but purposely sent to wake me up. I really dislike the way she is sometimes. I texted back this morning to say not to text me at that time and she just told me to "switch my f***ing phone off, it's not f***ing rocket science". I have to keep it on for two reasons, firstly I might get a late job which has happened before and secondly, she has often texted over the past 4/5 years after drinking when she's been depressed so we've had a chat / I've gone round etc etc. She told me that I don't give a s**t about the boys which hurt a little as they're my world...:(
Since then, from which I struggled to get back to sleep, today has been hard work all the way. Morning post run, home, delivered 80 catalogues, home for a cuppa, delivered 120 papers and 360 leaflets, dinner then two trips over to the tip with some stuff that needed dumping and / or recycling. Home in time to get changed and do the evening post run. Since I've got home, I've written another 900 word article for the next programme and sent two others off for proofing.
Bed now, hopefully for a good seven hours uninterrupted snooze.:rolleyes:0 -
Sounds a a lovely lady!
Everyone reading this certainly knows the twins are your world.

Yeah, ignore her Chip. She quite clearly has some unresolved issues. And if the twins are the only thing she's got over you, it clearly looks as though she'll use them.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Thanks Lucielle, a whole lot better...:D
Did the morning and evening post runs and finished off the last of the catalogues too. Got paid the money I was expecting last Friday which I'm going to try to be more responsible with. Bought some football training equipment for the under-eights team I help run ( £140 ) but I'll get a cheque back next week for that. Paid a couple of smaller creditors too plus put some money into the children's bank accounts.
I had booked a Sun £9.50 holiday a few weeks back but missed out as I was late returning the tokens. They have come back with an alternative date in our favourite park but its only two nights ( Saturday and Sunday ) in just two weekends time. I've booked it, the lady on the phone suggested the camp might ring up and ask if we want to extend the stay by a night or two which would be great.
Boys have been round all day, well since 9.00am anyway. Haven't done much really but will be going out for a game of football with one of their friends tomorrow while his dad and I mark the ptch up ready for the new season. Finished the last 600-word article tonight for next Saturday's programme, the first time ever I've had everything ready by this far from the deadline...:j0 -
Ended up going to the airport again this morning as the weather was better than forecast. Got another six numbers, making 650 in total...:j
Thought we'd be going to help mark out the pitch for the under-eights but the weather was that good, my friend's cricket match was still on so he had to cry off pitch-marking duties. We'll try again tomorrow.
Spent £15.00 on petrol today, that was all.:D0 -
Hope the weather holds for you tomorrow.
