  • Still a bit sad after the boys went home earlier. Went to the pub tonight for the quiz and we won it by four points so the six of us ended up £42 richer.....:j  . The two ladies in our group let the men keep the money as we did 99% of the answers so after a round was bought, we came home with £8 each. I entered the quiz and bought a round for £11.44 so slightly down on the night but a good evening out took my mind off of things...

First lie-in since the last Bank Holiday tomorrow but I'd give it all up to have the boys knocking on the door at 7.00am singing "!!!!-a-doodle-do" at me.... :D
  • Hi Chip, Just popped in to say hello!
Bit quiet on my thread tonight & feeling a bit lonely, will probably go to bed soon.
Do you still miss your boys a lot, or do you get used to it?
I really haven't stopped my husband from seeing the kids at all, people say I'm mad, because he's having his cake & eating it, but they are his kids too & he loves them & i still love having his company & I'm included when we go out, so I don't see a problem at the moment, obviously if I ever do meet anyone, this might have to be lessened, but I would hate to not be able to see my children & I really find it unfair & mean when people use thier children to hurt thier ex.
Although, being that he does see them so often, he may not be seeing what he's missing as much as he could, though he hasn't missed anything worthwhile, just DS being sick, & both of them crying wanting him to come home, I'd gladly miss that!

  • Nah. I miss them like crazy, Kizzy. I'm not sure I'll ever get used to not seeing them although I haven't lived with their mother since they were four months old yet we did have a relationship till they were three.

You have to do what's right for the children first and foremost but you're right, they are his as well which can be awkward. Good luck with it and sorry for hijacking your thread....
  • Thanks Chip, you haven't hijacked my thread, it's good to get a blokes perspective, I don't know what happende with you & the boys mum, but did you ever think twice ( if it was your decision ) about getting back together because of the kids, I know it shouldn't all be for the kids, but we get on really well & I know he still cares about me.

  • You have mail by the way....:D

I did consider it to start with but she does my head in. The other day she started sending nasty texts at 3.00am in the morning then when I asked her to stop because I needed sleep, she said "Well turn your f***ing phone off, its not rocket science!". I've always kept my phone on because of past history when she's been in trouble etc.

Nowadays, I just thank goodness I didn't go back. I would be lying if I said I didn't want to see the boys more but the end wouldn't really justify the means. She can be nasty, spiteful, deceitful and a cheat not to mention other qualities, hence I can't see ( speaking selfishly ) what she could add to my existence in life.

The boys, my older two children and I enjoy life as it is, thank you. :D
  • Fair enough Chip, especially as she did the dirty. I was hoping I was a more attractive prospect than that as I haven't done wrong - but obviously not.
Can't believe she's hassling you with texts after all these years & of course you need the phone on, what if one of your boys was ill, silly woman!

  • I've been a lazy git today. I didn't get up until 9.00am    this morning as I had no post runs and no children either. Just popped into town for half an hour mid-moring to get some stamps (£4.32), some envelopes (£1.58) and a spot of shopping (£2.84) before returning home.

Sorted out my pile of ever-mounting paperwork this afternoon, did two loads of washing and got them dry before having a 57-minute chat with the boys tonight. The phone call is free for the first 59 minutes from their phone so they string it out and string it out right till the last minute .....:D . I could ring back but they like it that way and it was nearly bedtime anyway...

Tonight, I've been emailing celebs for my programme articles. No replies just yet because the agent's offices are closed but if any one of them comes off, I'll be dead chuffed. Off to bed in a mo as I have a trip to London tomorrow to look forward to....;)
  • Another late get-up this morning as my mate said he'd cover the morning post run. This left me free to shower then disappear off up to London on a job..... except that there was a massive pile-up twenty miles along the M4 which shut the motorway for around twelve hours....   . Rang the customer and rescheduled the job for Thursday.

Popped into town this morning, picked up some shopping in Somerfield (just under a tenner ), posted some football programmes (£5.02) then came home. Chilled for the rest of the day until doing the evening post run. Been on the PC all night  listening to Yeovil getting hammered 5-1 by Middlesbrough tonight. My celebrity replied tonight with his article and it needs a bit more work before I can publish it...but at least this musician did it for me ( slight clue there )...

He might be podgy but then again he might not be...

Morning post run today then back home for a coffee before the paper round. Seems like we have a solus delivery next week ( a special delivery that has to go separate to the papers and that we get paid extra for...) so my 250 papers turned up to be delivered along with the 750 leaflets that came yesterday plus another 250 Ikea books too... ...I've got till Saturday week to do them though...:D .

Picked the boys up, gave them lunch and tea, took them to football training then dropped them home. Just three more sleeps till our mini-holiday in Devon Cliffs....:j :j . Back home tonight to tidy up and watch the football. Off for the aborted trip to London tomorrow morning, nothing planned after that.
