You are so busy. How is the debt busting going?
L
Quite slowly. I'm gradually chipping away at them but they're reducing bit by bit. I'd say that around 25% of my annual income comes in four fairly equal payments through the year ( February, May, August and November ) following a month's work for one of my customers. I tend to try to pay more off in those months to cut myself some slack in the leaner times.
I took a paper round on two months ago which pays around £25 a week. This is invaluable as it gives me a cash payment every two weeks which goes to what I'd call running costs. I also switched to a gas card and a key meter for electric too so that I don't get any large bills. I'm spending the rest of September sorting my finances out properly as best I can so that I can relax a bit more where money is concerned.0 -

2019! :rotfl:
No, I haven't really as I've never been that good at keeping to them. I suppose that with 5k of debt approximately, I should be looking at about three years but 3k of that is being paid off at £20/month while the other 2k is several smaller crediors that are getting wiped off at £80/month so it ends up being longer than three years.0 -
Non-stop today, it feels like.
Morning post run then back for my paper round. Gosh, how sad does that sound, eh? Had to wait for the papers that were late so only got 216 done out of 250, last 34 to do tomorrow. Collected boys at noon, fed them and showed them the new football boots bought today. I was as DFW as I could have been with twin boys, managed to get change out of £25 for the both of them...:T :T . They wore them to football training tonight and seem chuffed to bits with them so I'm Dad Of The Year again tonight...:D
Spend-wise, blew a couple of quid on confectionery, crisps and cakes tonight.... and £3.00 on football training too otherwise it was a NSD....:rotfl:0 -
L-o-o-o-o-o-o-o--ng day today!
Morning post run then had to finish off yesterday's paper round, last 34 papers. Back home, had a coffee then finished the housework. Left home at lunchtime to go down to see DS1 and DD in Dorset. DS1 has just started sixth form in the next town and is working five nights a week temporarily in a local Somerfields too. He's tiring a little and will cut his hours down very soon. DD is thirteen, blossoming and started year nine this week. Bought them tea ( which spoilt the diet again  ) but I only get to see them every two weeks so not really naughty, is it?
Got home at 9.30pm and have been sorting the programme out again. We had an interview done, I'd just about started the match report then we found out the interviewee had literally just been sacked! Luckily another player was interviewed at the same time so we'll use his instead. The weekend ( when the boys have gone to bed ) will now be spent writing a cluster of articles ready for Tuesday's strict deadline.
We've also managed to get Sir Ian Botham to produce something for us for a later programme. He is starting another walk in a month's time so we'll be doing a two-page spread on it.0 -
