Picked the boys up after the morning post run and straight off to drop an invoice off at a customer. Came home and, with one exception of going to the shop for some shopping, stayed in until teatime. Collected a package and the three of us dapped off to Cardiff tonight; it's a new customer who has now used me twice which is promising.:j
Took the boys home tonight at 8.00pm and will pick them up at 8.30am on Friday. I spent £20 on petrol today, £5.30 on the bridge toll, £7.24 on some shopping and that was about it, I think.
Tomorrow? I have 250 newspapers and 802 leaflets to deliver plus I really ought to get on with these infernal catalogues. Morning / evening post runs to do as well, here's hoping the weather improves!:rolleyes:0 -
Glorious weather here. Hope you get everything done.

Not really, I'll just have to wait until Thursday next week when the payment run happens. I could ask for a sub from another customer but I hate doing it....:rolleyes:0

See your point. Can you do anything cheap or free this weekend?

Was still writing last night at gone midnight so didn't get a chance to update...
Had a quiet day at home yesterday as the weather was a wee bit inclement. The boys and I spent a while on the PC selecting our fantasy football teams for the coming season.
After they went to bed was the time the author came out in me. I have five articles to get arranged and written / sorted by Monday, two of them are done and last night I had to write 1,000 words on a game from 1997  which is easier said than done...:D . DS2 woke up with tummyache about 11pm so the night was made a little longer. After a warm milk, he fell asleep again and I joined them just before 1am....:eek:0 -
Got any plans for today?

Lucielle, it ended up being a cheap day.
Popped out to the airport again, they're really going for this plane-spotting lark. Got another eight aircraft making 546 in total. It's the balloon fiesta this weekend coming so should get a few more fingers crossed. Stayed in all afternoon then went down to the park for a game of football for an hour. Naughty really but spent £2 on two lines of Thunderball and got two numbers....
Today, we were going down to my oldest two to take them all to see Wall-E but they're not overly keen, I'm short and I'm going down on Thursday instead...0 -
Today ended up being better than I'd expected.
Didn't really do much but after all the plans had gone to pot, I thought it would be a miserable day. Chilled out this morning with the boys then took them to the park this afternoon to blow the cobwebs away. They're really good company, even more so than before, although they do whinge and niggle at each other more than before. I almost got through with a NSD except we drove past a Tesco Express and heard three small bags of Maltesers calling to us...
Spent this evening writing yet another article for the football programme. Close viewers of this thread will remember that I committed to writing two articles ( combined total of around 1,600 words ) plus collating another three articles of 2,000 words total for every football programme my team play this season ( Yeovil Town ). I'm loving it although its quite stressful when you're waiting for a contributor to send his piece in. One article is about what it's like to follow the team from abroad. The first issue contains a piece from a fan in South Korea. The time difference is a nightmare as he is several hours ahead therefore when I email him, I have to wait yonks for a reply...
Sorry for waffling, off to bed now. Morning and evening post run tomorrow, finishing the football articles off before deadline, preparing the leaflets for delivery, pop into the bank and do some housework.0
