After reading the lovely reviews from you all out there I decided to cancel my order, luckily it hadn't gone through on the credit card so I blocked that. Anyway the telesales people haven't got a clue, they do not inspire you with confidence that if something does go wrong you will get a satisfactory result. I am quite knowledgeable about P.C's and have not had problems with systems I have bought in the past, but it just goes to show that anyone can get caught out if they just look at price, and trust completely, the reviews of a magazine. It's a shame though that a company can't listen to all the bad reviews (they were on other message boards too) and sort itself out. Anyway I've seen a refurbished Dell at europc.com for £222, so I think I will go for that. If anyone knows anything bad about the company I would be grateful to hear it.

    It's supported by Tiny
    That would be a first.
There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Hmm... this system would be great as a paper weight....

I think this would be a very useful alternative for £308:

Go to the DELL small buisiness section

    enter E-Value Code 1 - D07511

Select the warranty to 90 days

Select the Dell wireless keyboard and optical mouse

    You get a 2.8 Gig P4, 256 MB RAM, 80 gig HD, Windows, DVD/CD-RW and a 17" CRT

This is a decent quality system, definitely not a paperweight.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I am no supporter of Tiny or Time computers and usually would walk away from their systems. But Computer Buyer have a customer charter that they tack onto systems built by manufacturers for P.C tests in their magazines. It basically states that the computer should be supplied as reviewed for 6 weeks after the test and that the company deal promptly and fairly with complaints. They also check out their sales, production, and support departments prior to the tests. If the company does not adhere to the Fair Play charter set out in Computer Buyer then they name and shame them, withdraw awards and ban them from future tests.
It is a big deal for manufacturers to be in the tests as they are a shop window for their products.

    lol lol lol

The lifeblood of computer magazines is advertising revenue. Dennis Publishing not only publish Computer Buyer but several other similar titles. Trust me, they won't risk losing a multi-million pound annual contract with a major computer manufacturer by killing the goose that lays the golden egg.

I work in the industry so I know!

As others have pointed out, the fact that the name "Tiny" appears on the case should be enough for you to walk away.

I wouldnt even touch tiny with a barge pole. Pc build quality and customer service are dreadful. Spend a bit extra if need be and get a dell pc.

Just heard on 5 live that all Tiny and Time stores are to cease trading. I know all those fans out there will mourn it's demise.
