The car was repaired but the problem arose 5 moths later, it took another 5 months to get them to take the car away to get repaired again only to come back even worse, its a very long story!!!

I'm no expert but there are loads of posts on here about your rights to return faulty goods including new cars.

Suspect as you gave them a chance to repair it, it may impact on your ability to return for a refund.

According to consumer direct your entitled to a repair, replacement or refund, they have had two opportunities to repair, the car is a ltd edition so they can't replace so a refund is the only option!!

Having purchased a vehicle from this branch i must say i am very dissatisfied at the level of car preping.

Issues

Wheels not balanced
wheel tracking out
air con broken
blue smoke from exhaust
faulty glow plugs
faulty air filter
faulty pollen filter
broken temp gauge
damaged paintwork
dodgy paintwork repair
no service history
damaged alloys
rattle from car
sticking gear stick
gear knob falling off

You should try working for them, worst company ever lots of bullying and no training after 15 years in the motor trade 6 months with evans halshaw has made me change my job altogether ..they treat their staff worse than their customers!!

I had new tyres put on at this garage. They put one tyre on back to front and didn't put the wheel weights on. They then gave the car an MOT :eek::eek:
I then took the car on a long Journey and had to drive really slowly to stop wheel wobble.
I took it back to get sorted and they said it was a young lad who had only just started that originally did the work......

Mmmm, that's reassuring isn't it

I recently bought a car from Evans Halshaw for around £6000. It's now in the dealer having repairs done. They originally said it would take two days, and so far it's been in over two weeks now. Probably for just as long as it was out of the dealer.

I get no phone calls from them, despite telling me many times "we'll you on xxxx to update you". I've always got to ring them and listen to their excuses. It's now Friday, and when I called in on Saturday to see what they were taking so long on, was told they'd ring me on Monday with an update. Yep, still waiting.

The only saving grace at the moment is I've got a courtesy car from them so at least I can get around.

I was promised all sorts by the salesman, then next to none of it has materialised either.

It's odd though, I get more phone calls from a company 'representing' Evans Halshaw offering me PPI on my finance than I get from the dealer that actually has my car still.
