Twinklie hope you're feeling better soon
Daft question, but are you different to the twinklie on the dfw board? Their name is written in capitals so wasn't sure if it was you or not

I was on the dfw board ages ago but I've always been in lower case. Must be an impostor!!!
Just spoke to OH and convinced him it's time to switch our home insurance! Woop woop. So looks like we'll be able to insure our home and OH's flat for less than what we are currently paying!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I'm so upset I could cry. I just got a text of the lady we've been waiting for a dog from for AGES! It sounds as though one of her dogs is now pregnant - great news but the worst possible timing.
1. OH has just secured a flat that doesn't allow pets.
2. He will no longer be in during the day on the 2 weekdays that he used to be (because he'll be in Wales).
3. I'm out from 7.20am till 4pm.
4. Our house is still not sorted because the shed thing has taken far longer than we thought.
5. We are not as flush as we once where.
Now technically, we could still afford a dog. Mum and dad would gladly come and entertain it during the day. AND my sis who lives 5-10mins from OH's new flat would gladly take the dog at weekends - provided we took it out.
However, it's not ideal is it? Not really fair on the dog to get shoved from pillar to post.
Ok, scratch the I could cry to...I am crying. I'm so upset.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I know...I can't help it though.
I've wanted this dog for about 4 years now. And the last 12 mths we've lost 2 lots of pups and waited and waited. Now there are pups we can't do it. We decided to go ahead as though we had no other commitments because we don't. But in doing that we now can't get the one thing I REALLY REALLY want. I know its daft because it's only a dog...but I can't help it.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

How about a small dog? Can't I get a small dog?
Trying to find out if I'm meant to be going back to work next week or if they want me to take 2 weeks off. They never said what to do about it...I know some places are making you take 2 weeks off. TBH, at this point I'm so fed up want to go back but am that tired from doing nothing that I hope they say I can have another week off. I don't want to get ill again!
C'mon...how can I get a small dog? Help me people help me!!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

OH just went mad at me when I even suggested going back next week. He wants me off next week to make sure I'm 100% ok. I have to call doctors tomorrow to cancel flu jab anyway. So I'll ask them then what they recommend re: going back. If I'm honest I don't feel ready but then Monday is a while off.
I'm sleeping on average 14 hours a day...I usually sleep 7! So I guess it shows I'm not well still. I'm really struggling with not doing anything though....sooooo bored. Although temperature has come down and I don't feel as nauseous as I did. Doesn't help that the builder is here today! Ha ha. Very noisy and means I can't even have a shower (not that I can be bothered) because we have no covers on the window.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

OH has just come in from talking to a lady across the road. Apparently she got a knock on her door this morning from a rather angry builder to see if she was the one who reported him to the council!! :A
It seems they sent their inspectors round and now he is going to be a month and a half behind schedule and has to comply with loads of regulations that are going to cost him a fortune! :T He was quite mean though and seemed a little threatening (she's an old lady as well).
Anyway they are turning a 2 bedroom terraced house (quite small) into a 5 bedroom student house! We don't know of anything being said about its change of purpose so were thinking of contacting the council to ask about it. We are a nice family street at the minute with no rentals or students. No one is particularly happy about it happening.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
