  • Enjoy your holiday. Funny to hear you saying there is snow. We have an icing sugar amount of it here dusting the garden. Makes a change.

We made it on holiday and I'm still here. However, having a lazy morning. Was just thinking I might start 2011 with a new diary. My situation has changed so much since the start of this one that it seems silly not to. I might set myself some goals to hit by the end of 2012 etc, do a new SOA and be a little more focused on the whole OP thing...although paying off CC's would be the first priority.

My payments will changed next year as well because our fixed rate ends in October I think so not really sure what we'll do then with regard to the mortgage. I guess we'll watch the rates very closely this year...do we stay on the base rate or get back on to a fixed rate...or a tracker! Wow...lots to think about.

I'm excited about starting my new diary. I can see it as a new start. It's funny how simple things can excite you isn't it. Well, we've had LOADS of snow over night which is exciting and means we'll have a lovely day! Yey

Something I'm going to include on my new thread is a snapshot of my sig every month as well as my mortgage progress. I have credit cards, the car etc to keep paying off and no idea or record of how well I've been doing. It seems important that I start documenting that. I guess I could also document how much I have in my ISA as well, but there's not really much in there to document.

    I don't know....I think I'll include:
    1. A snapshot background of my life and position.
    2. A new SOA
    3. A starting point for the mortgage.

Not really sure what else I should include really.... hmmm....

I also need to make a list of goals I guess...don't really know what my goals for the year are though. Closing unnecessary accounts should probably be one though, we have CC's that defo need closing.

The other thing I've just realised is that in October my fixed rate mortgage runs out....I have no idea what to do with it then. It is going to be very interesting I think. I have no idea what to do in terms of offset, tracker, fixed etc. Our mortgage isn't very big by comparison to most peoples....hmmm....what to do what to do.....
