Bit of bad news for me today. The pup we where expecting is no more. The mum reabsorbed them - still at least she's ok, thats the main thing. I am totally gutted though.

Twinklie sad news, but good to hear the female (correct term fell foul of MSE profanity text filter!) is safe and well. Can she try for another litter some time?

I'm not sure. The breeder (a lovely lady) has had a tough time lately so I'm not sure she will want to. Fingers crossed though!

Spoke to the lady today and she's going to try again on her next season. We want to go with her because she's not someone who is a puppy making factory and she really genuinely cares for her dogs. They have excellent hip scores and health and bloodlines. And importantly they are raised indoors as part of her family!

I know it sounds stupid but I know I could ring her up any time of the day or night for advice and she'd be there. It's just very comforting.

I do feel sorry for the dog we eventually do get though (we've been actively looking for over 12 mths) it's going to be sooooooooo spoilt. Obviously in a good well trained way....it just better like cuddles that's all I'm saying.

Pups are supposed to be spoilt its the law

Know what you mean about sticking with a good breeder, you know you'll get a dog with no dodgy inbred gentic issues plus expert support. My doggies breeder had a one year birthday party all the pups in the litter it was fab.

How soon is her next season? Sorry only ever owned boy dogs and no nothing of their reproductive cycle stuff :o

End of summer I would imagine...which sucks due to me being a teacher and having ALL summer off to play with a pup! Nevermind, theres always christmas! Ha ha.

What breed do you have Shelley?

I'm looking at ISA's again. I have the dog money to put somewhere plus I'll be getting my golden hello in October so I need to put it somewhere. But where....thats the question. Time for some researching I feel.

Ok steping away from an ISA for now. Will pay off the rest of the credit card then start OPing the mortgage instead. Worked through the finances and whats left in my account and I have MORE than enough each month to OP by £200 each month. If the credit card is paid off then OH can OP by £200 as well.

Unfortunately the car insurance is due out next month so we'll just have to wait and see as to whether we can OP next month. If we OP'd by £400 each month it would take our mortgage down to 5.4 years!!!! Instead of 15.4! That is MADNESS.

I know I keep going on about doing it...but things always crop up. This time I WILL NOT let them.

I'm trying to develop my SOW based around the jungle for my yr 8s. It's driving me nuts. I'll be very glad when it's done and dusted. I've had enough already. I have coursework to mark this week too which is depressing. My yr 9s will be handing it in to me. BOOO.

I'm so ready for summer it's unbelievable. Still only 20 more get ups! Bring it on.
