Good to hear of the very positive news now.
If OH is keen on having children then I bet you've already allowed for this in the budget plans etc? Sincere best wishes that all will be well for you both and do enjoy the anniversary too0 -
I'm taking my hamster to her holiday home tonight, she'll be there till Jan. Then its home for Champers as its our first wedding Anniversary. Yey!
Plus I marked my mock exam papers and all my students except 3 went up at least 1 grade some 2!! And one from a C to an A*. His last teacher wouldn't enter him for higher but I have and am chuffed as nuts about it. Just hope I get these results for the real thing.
FINGERS CROSSED! I feel like a proud parent and want to tell everyone about it! Yey!
Well Done on those results. You are obviously a super-teacher0 -
Awww thanks folks. Finished school at 12.30 and now getting ready to do the big pack. We fly at 10.40am. Yey!!! Can't wait!
Little George is at her holiday home with my friends and all is well by all accounts. I'm so excited.
Have a fantastic christmas folks and a brilliant start to the new year! Big hugs and kisses!!!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

hello all,
Best of luck in your new career and paying down the mortgage too.
Times are so difficult for many people now, hope you landed on solid ground by now. Did you find a good job in the fall?
I went back to school late in life and now I am loving my new job----took 2 years to finish training and job hunting.0 -
I'm back from my holidays but not back to school till Wednesday...so the next 2 days are lesson planning DOH!
However, we had a rather eventful trip (or rather travel aspect to the trip) and so I shall be posting for advice. For now though it's time to wake up the OH. I've been up since 5am! Doh! Stupid time difference/jet lag! Still, I'll get up for school at 6.30 on Weds so it's not too massive a difference at least!
Hope you all have a lovely time over the holidays....I know I did!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Ok so my main question is on the thread I posted on the travel page. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1393363
We also got charged twice for car hire and my OH got stopped at immigration again because someone is DEFO traveling round on his old passport that he lost. So all in all it was an expensive and LONG journey home. Nevermind, at least we had nice time.
Been sleeping most of today so still not got any school work done. So I will have to cain it tomorrow. I just dont feel with it enough to get anything constructive done today. Boo....brain needs to work.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

What a 24 hours....spent most of the last 24 hours up at the hospital. My OH went snowboarding on the freestyle night in Manchester and fell funny. He managed to get home but at 12.30am I decided he had to go to hospital.
He's still there having tests up on the surgical ward. They are worried about his kidneys and bladder. PHEW! I'm sure he's going to be fine but I'm exhausted now.
Unfortunately it's happened on one of those weekends when we had loads to do and it now looks like it's all on me as I imagine he'll be out of action for quite a few days if not weeks now (when he eventually escapes hospital). It's fine obviously and I want the best for him...but it's annoying and slightly stressful.
I am never gonna get done all the stuff I need to do for Monday and I've no idea who I'm going to get to stay with him (the surgeon said he wants him watched when he is released)....so I think I'm going to have to take Monday off school.
Thing is he's got an appointment to get his dodgy moles checked by a consultant on Tuesday which I really want him to go to as it's been rearranged 3 times now and we've been waiting months. But he won't be able to get there himself (and might still need watching) and there is no one else to take him, so I might have to have Tuesday off as well! Hmmmm....We shall see.
I'm just generally feeling a bit tired and stressed. I need to do some lesson planning and marking too and I just can't do anything till I've been up to the hospital again 6 - 8. Grrrr....I'm stressed!

Life has a habit of throwing a combination of things at us at any one time. Focus on the time available and what can be achieved in the new situation not what you had planned before.
Hope OH is ok and released soon etc, and do try to get a good night's sleep tonight!0 -
After my good nights sleep I'm feeling far more calm, relaxed and rational. OH should be ok, he's got renal bleeding and internal bruising. Getting released though and bringing home a pharmacy too!
Still think I'll need to take a few days off school, but figure OH's health is far more important so they'll deal with it ok. I'll ring HOD later though and let him know.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Hubby is still signed off until 9th Feb, but he's getting better bless his cottons. Still, he's being sent for test after test so I'm pretty confident that if there's anything wrong it will be caught quickly.
Anyhoo, got the mortgage update through and have the latest figures. We are only paying a minimum I guess but I'm still a bit annoyed that we aren't below the 40K mark. But I don't really see the point of overpaying now if we are going to be moving and need the extra cash. And we will be bumping it up anyway.
Also, there shall be no puppy for a while as the !!!!! we were hoping to get a puppy from isn't pregnant. So fingers crossed we find something in the next 6 months or so. We then intend to rescue a dog as well (both big breeds).
I did my first parents evening on Thursday which I feel went well. Although the kids this week were a little bit mental. They were bouncing off walls. So many different incidents throughout school occurred. Still only 2 weeks and then it's half term. Yey.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
