All ready for the obs. Told the kids he was coming to observe them because they are top set yr 9 and with the SAT's no longer happening he wanted to see what we were doing with them! They weren't happy....lol.

The best bit about it is that the practical involves long leaky glass tubes and lots of water!!! Crumbs!

My children's High School are still running SATs for the year 9's this year. They have SATs in year 7 & 8 too. In fact, their primary school also had (optional) SATs every year as well. I like SATs personally and my kid's like them too:cool:. Gives everyone something to aim for. How will the children in your school be set if they aren't doing SATs?

It went ok thankfully! Phew! There were a few dramas but it went ok according to the brief feedback I received. Still waiting for the written part.

As for the setting, it wasn't really based on SAT's in the first place. It's done on levels etc. And I am thankful that it's not based on SAT's. Performance on one test doesn't always reflect what a child is actually capable of!

I'm back in school tomorrow for a climbing course that will hopefully mean I can take kids climbing! Woop Woop! Fingers crossed then! Although I'm a bit miffed that I have to give up a Saturday for it where as others were allowed to do it during school time and so were effectively paid for it.

But whatever, I've asked to claim travel expenses at least anyway...fingers crossed. I told soooooo many kids off today, it was a bad day behaviour wise but I really enjoyed the day for some reason. Hmmm....strange.

Is that for the month? :o
Our average over the year looks to be about £50 per month based on previous consumption levels.

We've just had the electric and gas meters replaced so am waiting for the online information to catch up so we can submit readings, plus, then want to discuss the offpeak electricity usage which didn't get recorded by the meter.

I submit a meter reading monthly so yeah its for the month. I should take into account I've been pretty ill and VERY cold for the last few weeks so the heating has been on a lot. But still.....OMG!!

Ours probably would have been cheaper were it not for that. Ah well. We were £133 in credit but with 100 for the gas, and 32 for the electric...erm, we are now slightly less. lol.

The extra consumption particularly during the cold snap combined with illness seems a reasonable basis for the increase, just consider the hours it runs normally then those necessary when you were ill; likely this ratio will reflect in the increased spend?

I know we see an increase when we have extra days at home during the winter months which can be seen in the monthly consumption.

Hope health remains good from now on!
