mezelks you are now top of my christmas card list!!! Or you would be if I sent them and didn't think it was a waste of money and trees!!! :rotfl:

I'm now emailing my lesson plan for ofsted to my HOD as requested. I had no choice to get proactive! Doh! Nevermind.

Still, I've not changed what I was planning to do and all is well. I'm pretty happy with it and even better I get to test it out on the other class first so I can id any problems. I still don't agree with the "extra" effort though! I realise you can't be all singing all dancing every lesson but these kids only get one education surely it's our job to be the best we can be as much as possible rather that just when a strange man with a clipboard comes in.

    Hmmmm......

Still no news re the house swap!

OOOOOh my curry is ready.....gotta go. Very excited....and hungry!

  • Good luck with Ofsted!!! It's never as horrible as it seems. I've been done twice in the last 2 years...I had one at one school then changed jobs and they popped up again - typical!

Well I've shown my plans to a few people now - as was requested, and everyone seems pretty happy with it all.

Fingers crossed then! I'm still not really bothered. I'm more worried about starting ANOTHER year 11 piece of coursework the day after they handed in the last one and then only having 2 days to do it in.

    Aren't inherited problems a joy!!!

I didn't have OFSTED come in after all that (didn't think I would for some reason). So one of the senior folk in my department went round and watched some of the lessons in a bid to see what the lessons were like. So not a total waste of time.

My yr 11 lesson ended up with all of the SLT watching too which was quite funny. We were doing their coursework prac out in the main landing - dropping paper helicopters. ha ha. They were very well behaved and it looked really good apparently. Phew!!

So one more get up then it's job done! CANNOT WAIT!!! I've loads to do over half term but I'm gonna have the weekend off which is well exciting. It feels like I'm going on holiday!! Yey!!

I'm looking forward to getting recharged and coming back at the kids with some wicked lessons. However, most of all I'm looking forward to some time with my hubby...even if he is banging around downstairs in the kitchen cos he's in a mood with me (still not sure why).

Have a relaxing weekend, you've deserved it  .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Well it's my half term now and I"M SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

I'm not really but I'm chuffed I don't have to get up at 6.30am every day! Yey! I marked 100 exams and entered the levels onto a database when I got home last night so that means I can chill out this morning. Woop woop! It's now the afternoon though, I just noticed.

Going to have a duvet day I reckon. Just sit about doing as little as possible. Might help the hubby clean out the hamster because he's rubbish and is neglecting her a bit. She stinks. So we could clean her out.

Going to see Jimmy Carr tomorrow night which should be fun. Then I'm having a mummy daughter day on Monday with my mum (obviously) after going to the dentist. So Monday should be a pretty chilled out day too! Just need to book in for the hair dressers too.

I'm far too excited about the thought of my next pay cheque. It's a bit daft really. I don't even have anything in mind to spend it on, I just want the money in my bank....lol. I'm not used to having it.

Mind you still have to pay off the holiday for Xmas, so thats where a large chunk of it will go after paying bills etc. Ho hum. Fingers crossed that we will be going to see the house next week too and sit down with my folks to see where we stand (fingers crossed). AND we are getting our new shower put in (by OH and his dad) this week too.

    So it's all go.

Think I'll make a list later and try and get myself organised....lists always help I find.

Bloody typical, my father in law who is in his 60's in now stuck on a side of a mountain!! Grrrr...

Don't know if anyone saw the news about the OMM. But it's a mountain marathon up in the lakes which was called off yesterday due to flooding. It's been a bit mental. Anyway, he's been doing it for years. As expected theres been no contact from him (v little phone reception round there), so everyone is freaking out about it.

I blame the news reporting things in a dodgy manner. I'm sure he'll be fine, I'm sure of it! Still, it means that today is gonna be a bit weird. My OH is very close to his dad (he's his hero) and he's struggling to do anything remotely constructive. In fact he's currently in bed still, which is fair enough.
