Man you can tell work has started can't you. I've gone from being on here all the time to never gracing the forum. Ha ha ha.

Still going well at school though, but the level of work to do is just starting to kick in now! PHEW! Had meetings after school 3 days this week. Only 2 days next week so that makes a HUGE difference!

Oh my, I'm only a little un, and I'm nearly down to 7 and a half stone. I can't afford to lose anymore, so I'm gonna have to start drinking Complan or something. Ha ha.

It's all the running round rather than not eating though. My OH is force feeding me. I don't think I've ever eaten as much in my life.

I have my first observation on Wednesday though and its on a really simple lesson. My problem is....you mention the word OBSERVATION and I cease to be able to plan it. HA HA HA HA

The observation went ok. Phew. The only bits I got pulled for where the bits I wasn't sure off anyway and before he pulled me I mentioned it to him. It's just bits that I've not had to do in my placement schools that this school likes you to do. So it's not a big deal...yet. lol.

Anyhoo, the week went pretty quick and I'm exhausted yet again. Gonna really try to get organised for the week ahead. We have an open evening at school on Monday so I won't get back home until like 10pm. So I'm going to plan my little heart out and be as organised as I can. FINGERS CROSSED!

OOOH on the money front, looks like we will have to invest in a new fridge freezer and washing machine soon. Gutted. Still, I've FINALLY been paid now so I'm much more relaxed about what my take home pay will be. YEY!

Well done on the observations, I see them as a chance to improve and get a different perspective from another teacher. Still makes me very nervous though! How often do you have to have them? Mine is at least once a year, and then extra ones for Estyn (Welsh Ofsted) inspections.

I will have a total of 6 this year I think. It's because I'm in my NQT year though. And our department is up for review or something...lol. I don't know, I just know I get observed 6 times. One will be by the headteacher which is scary, once will be by the deputy and my mentor and the rest are by my mentor or the AST's. Scary stuff.

But I think now the first is out of the way I just need to try and act on the targets they give me. I'm getting a more detailed target to aim for on Tuesday at the meeting so I'll know what to incorporate then.

Gotta say though, as much as I'm exhausted and feeling stressed, I'm loving the job so far.
