Hello everyone - not posted for a couple of days - I've been really tired in teh evenings and had to go to bed early (well, 9.30). I think it's because I'm looking after three children who are on holiday from school on my own!!. Not had anything to drink so far this week and am feeling good with it - I certainly couldn't manage with the children if I was drinking.
I've only got tomorrow here and then we're coming to the UK for a week - shouldn't be too boozy at all really as my Dh won't be with me and I don't want to be p***ed in charge of kids.
Good luck everyone in your various endeavours - sorry got to go to bed!!Saving to pay the tax man0 -
Evening all,
Well, Ive managed another alcohol free day, still feeing great and really positive.
Amazon how was the dance class? There's a jazz class in the next village on a Friday perhaps nows the time for me to give it a go!!

Day one grog free.
Am not giving up completely - like the thought of "choosing not to drink" more often seems a more positive sentiment.
Can't tell you how much perkier I feel this morning.
Did my line dance class last night. Drove there and back.
Double plus for the diet - extra exercise and no empty booze calories piling on.
Got home at 10pm and would normally have had a quick nightcap but didn't.
Had a proper, healthy, tired (not just zonked out) sleep and woke feeling really positive.Going for day two today.
Appreciate the support here, TY.0 -
Morning.
Today is day 3 alcohol free.
No beer no fear :rotfl:
Good luck to everyone.

Morning all- well on Day 4 again, but in the last 12 days have only had one blip and I reckon about 1 and a half bottles of wine on the blipped saturday night. All in all, very very good...;)
Still haven't heard about 2nd interview !!! Grrrr making me wait  Also heard from work yesterday that I may not get the payout as the new company have offered me a 'reasonable alternative' position. Double Grrrr:mad:
Anyway, was stressed to the max last night and OH bless him took me out for dinner to a local pub we go in to to eat quite a bit- the woman on the bar knows me because of this and as soon as I walked in said- large white wine? and I said no- orange juice please... Don't know who was more surprised, me, her or OH !!
So, diet also going well..... (only had caesar salad- no dressing !!)
have realised that alcohol wouldn't have really helped and wasn't really tempted either- nice feeling !!
Will hopefully hear today anyway.. have a good day all

Got my counsellor appointment tomorrow at the drug and alcohol centre, considering cancelling it as it did me no good whatsoever last time, in fact it made me worse. What do you all reckon?DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Hi Jo- tell me about it- I have a headache the size of Scotland today and not even hungover......Nightmare..
The alcohol and drugs centre ? wow sounds scary !! what do they do to you there??
And as for OH taking me out- we've only been together a year and a half so suppose he's still trying to impress.... although when he's watching football, rugby or any other sport he doesn't even hear me talking, but I think thats a trait of the male species???:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:MTC's NO MORE PIES MEMBER NO 202 !!!

Ah a year and a half, you're still in the honeymoon period
Me and OH have been together 18 years and will be married for 15 in July (if we get that far :rotfl:)
The alcohol and drugs centre does counselling and has a doc on site to give advice and checkups and stuff. I went a couple of years ago when I was doing all the thought records and stuff which made me 100% worse :eek:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
No golf today but hoping to get about 3 games in next week.
Keeping busy here. Been shopping,Stew is on the go for later,Washing hanging on the line and just about to wash up.
Swimming later and then chilling in the evening.
I feel that if I keep busy I have less time to think about booze. Mind you I really only think about it when I am in bed and been having some weird dreams .
Thinking long term I feel it is time for a bit of honesty. I dont think I am going to give up altogether. I will have the occasional drink when out Etc. The aim of this is not to drink EVERY night as I was doing. I was drinking up to 12 cans per night every day I was off. That is going to stop and more sensible supping from now on.
For the moment I dont feel like having any so Day 3 it is.
Got to go and clean up and then contact Payplan for my annual review
Speak later
