    Thanks guys 'n' gals,

I'm already looking for something better. Am even considering applying for a taxi driving license, to bring some dosh in while I think about what I'd really like to do!

The thing that has really got to me, and makes me feel cr*p thinking about it, is the fact that I was 'too nice' and 'allowed them to have a go at me', when really I should've told them to F' off!

I was just trying to sort it out in a friendly, more polite way, but look where that got me...

As for the CAB, Thanks, I will give them call tomorrow.

Re - the contract, I did have one, but I was never given my own copy to keep. The MD only gave me one to sign which I gave back...Aargh!

I think it did say in there, that it was a case of 1 weeks notice either way, but I'm not 100%

Many Thanks for your support guys,

Off to bed now,as I have an outpatients appt at the hospital tomorrow, for an abdomen scan (my own personal MOT due to the past boozing!), so need to relax.

Good Luck all, and stay healthy,

    Lots of Love

can i join, as im fed up of promising to cut back on alchol, then the same night ending up having one or two to relax and then hey presto the bottle has gone!
i really want to get rid of the excess fat and the headaches that i wake up with.
    so wish me luck!

Wow, I could have written that.
    Time for action here too.

  • Good morning :j

I've got about 5 pages of posts to catch up on......................hope you've all been behaving yourselves. ;) I've briefly skimmed over the pages but will need to sit. down for a good hour or so to read them properly.

I'm back to day 5 again.......................gosh ! there are a lot of hours in the evening. Have overcome the cravings by entering the kitchen and taking up manic baking and cooking. In fact I've been chopping and slicing with the grim reaper...................... you could say I've been dicing with death !!........................ :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Leigh Big hugs Glad to hear that you are looking ahead.
    Basilcat Good luck
Singlemum Well done. I feel I have so much in common with you because of the sleeping in the chair and derisory comments from teenagers..........................even more frightening, though, what would people have thought of me if someone had come to the door whilst I was passed out in the chair <shudder>!! - a few near misses methinks !! Teenage kids are very damning, with or without the booze..................as a parent I'll never be rich enough or cool enough for them..........but I guess I lose the moral highground and theirrespect if I've been drinking. Kids have noticed I've not been drinking but my youngest has rolled his eyes and said 'It won't last' !!

Thanks to everyone for posting on here........................every post is valuable to me................can't quite put it into words how much it has helped me keep on track. :T :T :T

Sea- me too - I always used to have unidentified bruises and cuts after constantly falling over when drunk. That was when I went out though- not so much drinking at home.

My brother and I used to refer to them as UDIs.... Unidentified drinking Injuries :o:o:o:o

Quick post - Hi to all. Not gonna say day 2, but I didn't have any last night. Go me??!

Good luck bas - I've got stuff crossed that you wouldn't believe! :rotfl:

leigh mate - sounds like typical alpha male bo!!ox to me. You're far better off out of it. You've been paid for the time you did work. I would just let it go. Rise above it (and them)

Hi-haven't been on for a while but just to report that on Friday after not drinking all week I drank a bottle of wine in an hour an a half then picked an arguement with hubby and felt sick and ate junk food. i did plan to drink but not like that! On Saturday we went to the dogs and I had 3 pints and a glass of wine spread out over about 5 hours which was reasonable. I think when I'm with people who don't drink a lot I'm really aware of what I drink and how quickly I drink as I don't want to look like a p***head but with people who are heavier drinkers I dont' care and get p**sed. On sunday I had 1 glass of wine and nothing during the week-although it's only wedneday.
Leigh-I think you are best out of that kind of working environment-they sounded like complete idiots-I couldn't believe the comment about the tea-I think I would have been tempted to say 'Wipe it up yourself and dont' be so ungrateful' but I am a bit hotheaded. Good luck in finding a new job and to basil cat as well-I hope it works out ok for you too.
