  • Hi everyone, very quiet on here:confused:

I have an announcement to make

I am 5/6 weeks pregnant!! Only found out yesterday and am shell-shocked to say the least (we had decided to have a break from trying till March next year!) We are telling parents on Christmas day, we don't see any point in waiting as if anything does go wrong (god forbid) like last time we will have to tell everyone anyway!

So - that has put the tin lid on it for me regards the drinking!! Am Teetotal for at least the next 8 months:T must admit am a bit gutted I will not be able to have ANY alcohol over the festive season but it will certainly do me the world of good!!

Hope everyone is ok today xx

This could be just the inspiration you need to stop drinking. Well done.

For the sake of the baby, you have to give it a real shot. I know you will.

Being drunk and hungover in front of the kids is a shame that sticks for a long time.
  • Congratulations Shoppy!!!!!!:j :j

Oh thats really good news! I LOVE people being pregnant (as long as its not me - one kids enough!)

    Miss P
    xx

    wow.

    congratulations shoppy.

everyone else....remember...constant vigilance.....am still stunned about the number of people who are really looking forward to overdoing it over Christmas. Like they never overdo it at the weekend regularly anyway.....still...their loss.

got to go. take care everyone!
For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 2007

I would not DREAM of drinking while pregnant, I am horrified that I have been for the first few weeks but we had decided to quit trying till March (so I thought:rolleyes: ) and the news came as a big shock to me!! I have been printing off loads of lovely alcohol free cocktail recipes to try over xmas so I don't feel deprived!! I will post some, hang on!
