I can see what you are saying Biscotte.
I'm glad to hear you are feeling better Mollypolly.
    xx

I won't be drinking tonight, I had a really scary horrible nightmare last night and I think I could do with having a good nights sleep. Why is it something I enjoy doing so much also makes me feel so carp after.

I think drinking heavily has aged me as well (saying that I got asked for ID the other day.) But just think how much younger I might look if I hadn't drunk so much over the years!:p

I have half a bottle of red wine downstairs but I will ignore it. I will have lots of tea and make something yummy for dinner later to take my mind off it. I will be going to my friend's house tomorrow and she can't drink because of her meds so hopefully an AFD for Saturday too.

  • Aternoon All :hello:

Soooooo good to read so many of you are doing so well :T :T :T :T

Had a carp week, was horrid birthday on Tuesday, felt extremely sorry for myself despite managing to go out the week before with mates and not drink. Was so fed up and low, then went out and hit the bottle with a vengence. That was Tues & Wed nites and feel like death today, despite not having anything last nite. I can't understand why I continue to do this to myself. I was going really, really well then as soon as i get a bit fed up I cave in, breaking strain of a kitkat me!

And now despite promising myself I won't drink anymore (I've also got a huge bag of accounts/VAT to do this weekend, as well as 2000 word essay) a mate has just called & asked me to meet her for a beer as her cat just died and she's heartbroken. I can't say no to meeting her, and I don't know if I can say no to having a beer. Suppose I can only try.

Good luck to everyone this weekend, I'm going to try and sign on, just to keep me on the straight and narrow:o

  • Well done Fay and all the other AFree peeps for last night. I had a couple of drinks on Thurs and a few more than a couple last night:o :o My resolve to cut down is still as strong as ever though so I will be aiming for at least as good a week next week (2 AFDs) and maybe push it to three. Part of my problem is that I have quite a hectic social life with being single and so I actually find it easier to have an AFD when I am in and on my own. Need to establish some different activities other than the pub or friends houses for wine:D
Anyway tonight is X factor dancing and Celebrity :j (how sad am I) It will no doubt include some wine but less then normal
Good luck to all AFree peeps for tonight you are much stronger than me:o

Lol I have the oppostite problem, I hardly go out and then drink alot at home on my own, and if I do go out I usually take the car - busy day today also just dumped an old random calling half bottle of red wine in the venison to marinade it - whist my resolve was strong and it wasnt calling too much.

Aiming for AF tonight but I know my brother has got a bottle in for later - will see - oh not up so a bit sad and lonely (as always all say 'awwwww') but will try focus time on work instead should keep me busy!

I know I dont need anymore flowers at the mo, but did buy another one from the florist cos it was so outrageous and now its sitting in the porch - welcomes me home got a couple candles as well today - so my wine money is well and truely blown today!! I know its a short term distraction, but thus far its keeping my chin up.

    Any muskahounds around tonight????

AFD tonight defo - No 1 again, oh well so much for a few in a row!! Any muskateers today?
