I recently added my mobile number (Orange PAYG) to my 1899 acount after a few calls I realised that this doesn't work I got charged 3p connection plus 1p per minute (landline) plus the usual PAYG cost to a landline
I have been on PAYG for about 3 months now and just cant seem to get it to work for meI need to be on Orange for reception purposes. I'm thinking of going back to contract but I dont think Orange do a tarrif for about £15 a month ( what I usually spend) any ideas? I probally use around 60 mins a month plus say 20 text max

I am currently experiencing difficulties obtaining cashback from Mobileshop.com. They are blaming technical problems for delays. First cashback payment was meant to be 2 weeks ago. I am beginning to believe the old saying "if it sounds too good to be true..." For those contemplating taking out a new contract with Mobileshop, if I were you I would wait or go elsewhere0

I have a Tesco PAYG and its great. I pay £13.50 per month which gives me £15.00 a month (you get 10% discount for paying a minimum £15 a month). This gives me 10p a minute any network any time, or 5p a text. If I go abroad (european) its 40p a minute. I'm amazed at the service (which incidentally is provided by 02 - I asked the lady at Tesco mobile). The down side is you have to provide a phone but Tesco phones are quite cheap if you have to buy a phone. OR, use an 02 phone (they are unlocked so I have been informed). For some reason, whenever mobile phone service providers are compared, Tescos is never mentioned - don't know why.0

I'm with O2 and have been for a few years, I was on the O2 200 tariff which gave me 200 any network, any time minutes and 100 text messages for £30 a month. After reading about everyone getting cheaper deals, I thought I'd give it a go.
I rang O2 and pressed the buttons to get through to the 'to terminate your contract' bit and said to the man that I've seen a deal with '3' for more minutes/texts and half the price, and could they offer me anything like that otherwise I'd go with 3. He said 'I'll see what I can do for you' and I came away with 250 anytime, any network minutes and 500 messages for £15 a month!!!! He's sending me a new phone too but I didn't realise til afterwards that its one I don't like so when it comes, I'll ring and tell them I want a different one. He said I can send the phone back within 14 days if I didn't like it anyway.
So, my advice is to give it a go! As soon as I threatened to go to another network he offered me a good deal!

I hadn't realised that I'd been paying carphone warehouse for 7 years for mobile phone insurance. I have now stopped the payments, but have wracked up about £600 payments to them. I asked for the money back as I had overlooked this, and they have refused, saying that I had not cancelled the contract. They also upgraded my phone about 2 years ago and say that I am paying for both the phones.I know I should have cancelled, but surely they are also liable for not informing me.0

Using this system, I found a great contract with Orange and then haggled O2 (my existing network) down to an even better contract.
Thanks again.0 -
:money: :T Followed Martins advice regards haggling, when my current contract expired.
With T Mobile, was paying £35 pm 500 mins anytime any network, I got £280 cash back on that contract, now after praising them, and informing them due to better deals from other networks I unfortunately was going to go, a week ago I got them to agree to 900 anytn mins for £25 and a blackberry pearl which I would sell for £160, I phoned them tonight told them I didnt want a phone and have been offered 900 anytime anynetwork minutes for £5 pm on a 18 month contract .
Bank charges reclaimed £2000, money saved loads.0
