  • This article is very thorough, but I think it is worth mentioning that certain services will not work with some providers. From personal experience I have found that although easyMobile is a good value service, you cannot send or receive MMS or use GPRS. I switched without considering this, and now will be switching again when my credit gets a bit lower. (I'm not blaming the article though, I did this all by myself about a month ago!)

Its cross network calls are 35p a min, where as Easymobile is 15p a minute.

Hi, I was just wondering why lots of phone links were given, yet a link for the Utility Warehouse was not given also?

Why the Utility Warehouse any particular reason?

  • I heard you on radio 2 say a mobile phone could be "unlocked" via the website. I would be grateful if you could let me have the website address for doing this.
    Many Thanks

One quick detail - the three tariff quoted at £30 per month for 18 months comes with the first six months half price so the 18 month cost is not quite as high as that quoted by Martin in the article.
    I think....
  • I have discovered a company called MinuteGuard™ (https://www.minute-guard.com) that notifies you before you or any member of your family plan exceeds their cell phone minutes and racks up a huge wireless bill. Unfortunately it's an American company, hence it only handles US based phones.

Does anyone know of anything similar in the UK ?

    Cheers
  • I thought I would apply the MSE approach to my mobile company (vodafone). I decided to go Pay as You Go and phoned to cancel my contract. Because I was so determined and did not give in straight away their customer retention department offered me a much better package but at half the price when I said I was still not impressed they threw in a great little Nokia 6101 as well.

Saving money, getting a better deal and a free new mobile! I love it
  • Can anyone help.

I am giving up mycompany mobile and want to know which is the best pay as you go SIM card only deal?

    Thanks
