I've just worked out that my ironing board is over 25yrs old now and despite the fact it has had many new covers the frame is still perfect. It was an expensive one when It was new so I suppose quality lasts

What's an ironing board?
Sorry, couldn't resist
Mine is twenty something years old and, as a previous poster said, not used very often. I avoid using the iron (and I should get banned for using four letter words in posts!) as much as possible.
One of my favourite quips is - "Life is a four letter word".

Mine was a wedding present 25 years ago and still going strong. When you get to the end of your tether....

Our ironing board is one that my MIL gave to my DH when he moved into his own flat - it was the one she bought when she got married ............... in 1958!!
...so our ironing board is now 50 years old and still going strong! It is a bit heavy (wooden frame) but still solid as a rock. A few years ago I saw one exactkly like it being displayed hanging from a kitchen wall in an Ideal Home magazine - as an antique! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Mine's about 6 years old. One of the first things I bought along with a bed and a step ladder when I moved into my old house, which was my first "Grown Up" house.
I noticed today that mine had started to rust a bit too.Hoping this year is better than the last.0 -
My parents have just replaced the one they were given as a wedding present. They've been married for 56 years !!!!0
