how old is your ironing board ?

whilst ironing today i noticed that the plate bit was starting to go a little rusty then remembered that the board was prolly around 15 years old

i reckon its something we keep for a very long time - so how old is yours ?

    My mothers ironing board is over 30yrs old!! And worst still, she throws a right strop everytime I say I'll buy her a new one.

    mine was a wedding present 37 years ago and as good as new, with three of a family there has been some amount of ironing done on it

    Hubbys was a engagement pressie to hubby and his first wife over 35 years ago :D
    was thinking of buying him a new one for his birthday as its like a ski slope cos he pushes down hard when he irons :D

    Mine is a mere youngster at five years old, has already had a new cover though, they don't make 'em like they used to
    I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

    Mine's 15 years old and still ike new, but it only gets used 3 or 4 times a year. We only iron when absolutely essential.

  • Mine was my ex hubby's. he bought it in the RAF when he was 18 !! 1984.
    Its still going strong. I would hate to buy one of the new flimsy things on the market now :)
