My ironing board is about 7 years old. It's a small one, so I am thinking of upgrading to a much larger one.Hoping this year is better than the last.0

I don't have one. I rarely iron (make sure all of the clothes I buy don't crease too easily), when I do iron it's on the kitchen counter on a towel! More MSE than spending money on an ironing board methinks!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

Okays I am not sure exactly how old is mine, but my darling MIL gave it to me when I was first married 32 years ago,and SIL used to play at pretending the thing was her boyfriend and she was soooooooooooooo in lurve with him ( yes! I married into this bonkers family, which i love to bits) Now SIL is now age 60 and MIL told me her mum had bought the board for her. MIL passed in 2000 age 81. Cor I miss her.
When I got it (It's a wooden one) it still had an asbestos iron plate rest:eek: Which I replaced very quickly. It now resides with us and is still used, and is covered with the brushed cotton sheet that was used on the cot belonging to my now 28 yr old daughter.
