The Clubcard Plus card is something you need to apply for, not a card they will just send to you.

Ok, what you need to do is to call Tesco Personal Finance CS and ask for a Clubcard Plus application form.

The form should come through fairly quickly. Fill it in and send it back. Then you may have a little bit of a wait whilst they process your application. If you ask for a credit limit (a bit like an overdraft) they will do a credit check, if you don't need a credit limit they shouldn't do a credit check.

Overall, I think my application took 2-3 weeks before I could use my card - but it was well worth it!

I've noticed at my local Tesco petrol station that they will soon be switching the pay at pump to Chip & Pin card payments - does anyone know what will happen regarding using the Clubcard Plus card - does this mean we will no longer be able to use the Clubcard Plus card at petrol stations? Or will they be making Clubcard Plus cards Chip & Pin???

I'm not so sure you actually get double points with a Tesco Clubcard Plus account. I have had one since they first started up years ago. In theory, when you get to the till, your card is scanned to add your points, then when you pay with your card it is scanned again for payment and the points added again. You definitely do get double points! I've only been using mine for a couple of months and have noticed a big increase in the number of points I have. The double points don't show up on your receipt immediately (where it says "points this visit").

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would agree that you do get double points with Clubcard Plus.

Have just had my card through and there is no chip, just a pin so assume if want to pay for petrol with it will just have to go in and pay.

i've just mysteriously been sent through a pin number i didn't ask for for my card...

Hi I do my shopping with Tesco online. If I applied for a CC+ could I load my shopping budget onto it monthly and then pay with this when I do my online shopping? And would I still get the double points this way?

Just to confirm that the new pumps do not accept CC+. Ours have just been upgraded to the new chip and pin keypads and won't accept my card.

Same goes for the self help checkouts where you have to wait for an assistant.

I have complained again today to personal finance who replied 'we have received no other complaints and at present have no plans to introduce chip and pin'.

Can I ask that all you other CC+ users ring up and complain? I use my card a lot but having to queue at the petrol station kiosk etc etc is really undermining the double points benefit in my opinion!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there a way to apply on the website?! I've looked through but can't find it....do you need to ring them or pick up something in store?

Hiya, you need to call the Tesco Personal Finance number (it's on their website) and ask for an application form.

Unfortunately you can't apply online
