Can you use it online? I still have to sign for my shopping and couldn't see a box to tick to use the card to pay?

I buy wine online on a regular basis, so that would be good to get double points if it could be used that way?
Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!

You can use it online yes, you just enter the details as if you would a credit / debit card. Obviously make sure enough funds are available on the CC+ before you order online.

    Hi

Just filling in an application form for the clubcard plus and will be setting up DD as £1 a month. Hope they don't have minimum amount??

Also, if I try to pay full amount at checkout and I don't have sufficient funds in my account, and I don't have a overdraft/credit facility - would the card be rejected? Or is there going to be something like "un-authorised overdraft" ? If rejected, what problem(s) can this cause?

    Many thanks!

Not sure about minimum amount, but pretty sure they don't have one....

What I do with mine if I'm unsure about how much my balance is before I shop, is check the balance at a cashpoint - at least then you'll know that if you have £80 balance, but your shopping comes to £82 then you'll have to pay the rest by other means.

I'm pretty sure that it won't allow you to go overdrawn unless you apply for an overdraft facility in advance.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks! I take it most cash machines accept this card for me to check the balance. Well, the one outside my local Tesco better do!

We're long term ClubCard+ holders too - and have always been very pleased with it - no real problems. we worked out roughly what our bill was going to be in tesco on a Monthly basis, and that's the amount the DD is set for. saves hassle withdrawing money and paying in through CS and works well for us. Any balance that builds up sits until we need a little extra for something - just prior to going on holiday it tops up spending money, and when we go off to the Good Food Show in November we usually take out any balance to help with hotel bills etc. Sure, the interest isn;t great, but it's cash we otherwise wouldn't have as if it was left in the bank it would get spent anyway!

In answer to some of the questions here too - yes Clubcard+ holders do still get the till spits for extra points etc. You have to specifically request a pin no if you want one - they don't send them out as standard. So far as I know that pin can then be used for cash withdrawals and balance checking at any "Link" cash machine. It will let you go over by just a couple of pounds or so, we have discovered, but this mahy only be once you've had the account for a while. Training for the checkout staff in store isn't always great - they are supposed to ask you if you want to pay with the card or just use it for the points, but they don't always remember. The other minor niggle is that if you scan your shopping through the self-scanners you then have to wait while a staff members comes over and checks your signature when you come to pay as it's not chip-and-pin compatible (nor, according to CS, is it going to be).

Just park your shopping at CS while you nip outside to atm for more, which you then 'bank'.
I did this yesterday when a bargain/mistake? presented itself.

I got a clubcard plus but have had nothing but problems with it. i have had 4 statements and each one shows zero points, though i spend £100 a month on it. My online banking was set up, then they stopped it, then claimed my signiature wasnt on file. Sent this in 3 times now.

Getting seriously P***ed off. Delaying phoning them up until mailing arrive just to besure.

At present not worth the hassle

So, write a strong letter(Recorded Delivery)expressing each point clearly.
    Say what you've spent.
Say you expect not only that the points be credited back, but a strong goodwill gesture be made.
Don't acept the first or second or third offer they make, until each negative experience you've had has been 'made good'.
    I did.
It works - but you do have to be persistent in this life.
