Tesco Clubcard Plus - Double Points

The clubard plus at the moment gives 3 points per pound spent, 2 for double points as per usual and one for personal finance. With fuel I'm thinking it will be 1 point per 2 pound spend and two for TPF. So clubcard plus is only down by 1 point in every £2 fuel spend. I know I'm right on the grocery points as I have read the letter from HO about clubcard plus points, on the fuel points its an educated guess."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

Sorry to bump this old thread - I don't know if it's been covered anywhere else, but I certainly can't see it in the Ts and Cs of the new changes to Clubcard on the Tesco site.
Does anyone know if this affects Clubcard Plus? Now that double points are the norm, then there's no benefit to use the card as payment in store.
What happens now that fuel is 1 point per £2. Would I get 2 points for £2 by using Clubcard Plus?
If you spend £10 in the store you get 10 + 10 (double pts) + 10 finance points, total 30.
If you spend £10 on fuel - you get 5 points + 10 finance points, total 15.
Using an ordinary card, the totals would be store = 20, and fuel 5.
Using a standard Tesco credit card, the totals would be store = 22, and fuel 12 (i.e. 10 + 10/4 = 12).I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
From the Tesco website:
http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/clubcard/faq.asp#clubcard_current
"Fuel points are changing
I have a Clubcard Plus card, how will this affect how many points I earn on fuel? From 1 November 2010, you will now earn 1 point for every £2 from Clubcard and you will continue to earn 1 Clubcard point per £1 from Tesco Bank when paying for your fuel with Clubcard Plus. So in total, you will earn 3 points for every £2 you spend on fuel."
So I make that 90 points for £60 of petrol = £2.70 after the change, or 4.5%. Worth it at the moment, as combined with the 5p a litre off coupons, the total 'off' (at 115p per litre) for a £60 purchase is £2.60 (coupon) + £2.70 (points value) = £5.10, or 8.5%. Better than a kick in the teeth.
On a related point, what can I do to speed up the now due vouchers (on stuff up to 23rd October), as I need to:
- get the vouchers;
- exchange them online for holiday tokens (just booked with my notification to the holiday co that tokens will be sent, they are 'in the post') at 4 x the rate;
- get the tokens sent to me by Tesco;
- send the tokens to the holiday co
all before the holiday co get grumpy and charge me a cash price. Any ideas?0 -
Thanks for this. Tesco told me different on the phone, saying I would no longer get fuel points from Tesco Bank. I should have asked a forum member here instead of Tesco themselves!0

Which 'Tesco' - gave you this info?
Tesco Plus? Tesco Credit Card? or Tesco Clubcard?
With the new style Tesco Credit card (with a clubcard no on the bottom) are still having 'technical' problems with using it at the pump itself i.e. self-service, but you can still get the points from the receipt via CSD.
Moreover, the Credit card is the one where there will be no change.
It is only with the Clubcard & Clubcard Plus where the clubcard points for fuel will change.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
