    Hello everyone -
I applied for my CC+ about a two weeks ago and haven't yet heard anything - going to ring them when I get a chance as it would have been good to use it for my big monthly shop at the start of March.
A quick question, is it a chip and pin card or an ordinary swipe one? Also, at the tills do you get them to swipe it first like they would with an ordinary CC, then give it back to them to pay with?
    Thanks

Hi Silaqui - it's a swipe card, not chip and pin (unless they have progressed since I got mine and you get an updated version!).
When I pay, I hand over the Clubcard Plus and they swipe it. Before handing me it back, they then usually ask if I want to pay with it as well, and so I say yes and then they hand me the card back after I have signed the slip (like an old debit card).
Sometimes I get it returned to me after they have swiped it, but I hand it back saying I want to pay on it as well, and I take it that this happens with staff who haven't seen the card before and are unsure of it. I've had members of staff ram it in the chip and pin reader before, for me to have to point out to them that it's not a chip and pin card!

But more often than not they know exactly what it is and just ask if you want to pay with it as well as swipe it for points, so it's simple really.
  • to get the 2 points per £ do you have to use a 2nd clubcard or pay on the cc+ and collect points on the cc+?
