Tesco Clubcard Plus - Double Points

because you dont know what you have left on clubcard plus. This happened to me last week, went over by £12. I paid in on the same day to cover it, but don't know if I will be charged or not as I haven't had it long.
The main problem is that the tills cannot or will not tell you if you have enough on your card and neither can customer service (reason given to me was "data protection"). Hence you must ring up and go through a load of hoops to get your balance, which I usually forget to do. Anyone know a better way?
And you definitely can top up at CS desk, just hand over card and money and they get you to sign and give you a receipt.0 -
you can top up at cs maybe they would have some idea what youre on about when youve got the card and cash ?(mind you the other day a till i went to the guy didnt have a clue what i was on about!)you can check your balance at the machine if youve applied for a pin and got it must admit its a bit of a chore doing it by phone!0

Thanks for the advice. I am going to fill the form in today and send it. Fingers crossed I'll be getting double points soon!0

would it not be possible to pay a little (if you could afford to) over say........that way you avoid any charges and also - if you pay a little extra here and there - come xmas - you may have enough to pay for the extras....also - is there any interest on credits?? might be worth looking into.....0

I am waiting for my direct debit to start on 1ts March in the meanwhile if I pay £30 in at the CS desk would this be available straight away on my account? i.e to spend or would I be charged for going overdrawn? dont want to do it if im going to be charged but unaware if the credit shows up straight away....thanks in advance their leaflet doesnt make it clear0
-
hi jaffa i have been told that the credit will show up straight away:))0
-
Yes it will show up straight away. My DD is never enough to cover my spending so I tend the draw cash out and put it on CC at services deak and then spend it. Pain I know but for double points its worth it!Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!0
-
Yeah, I just have the DD set as £2 to keep them happy then top up @ CS everytime. It goes on straight away but don't ask them as they usually say it doesn't, can't get the staff these days. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0

If you have a Clubcard Plus card and you overspend - don't worry! Provided there is a credit on your card it will go through ! I have often overspent and just topped it up on line from my Tesco Savings A/C , where they pay a better interest!Thank you for reading this message.0
