I gain most of my points from buying diesel for my company car - BUT - I use a company supplied fuel card to pay. There's no way I could work this with a Clubcard Plus to get double points is there ?

Fraid not. The Clubcard Plus has to be the means of payment to get double points. If you use it with another form of payment, it just becomes a standard Clubcard, so you get single points.

How many points does a Platinum (Tesco) credit card give when using instore?

Is it less than a clubcard plus?

    Thanks.

Having read about the extra points available for the platinum card I called CS this evening to find out...

Apparently its 1 point per £2 spent rather thank 1 point for every £4 spent as with the standard clubcard. Asked if I could apply/change cards and was advised it was by invitation only.

Any suggestion as as to how to become invited would be appeciated!

    Thanks in advance

  • sorry to be thick but does that mean that in effect you get the same no of points for a spend on a CC+ as a platinum CC credit card?

Unfortunately not - you get twice as many points with the platinum card as the CC. From what I have gathered (and I've just started collecting!) a £4 spend on cc = 1 point, whereas £4 spend on platinum cc = 2 points so you get twice as many.

  • ...thicky here again - but if a CC+ is double the CC points - does this not make it the same as using a platinum credit card (which I have already)?

You are confusing each other by using the 'CC' abbreviation for different things at differing times i.e. 'Clubcard' or 'Clubcard+' and 'Credit Card'.
Clubcard + ALWAYS exceeds all other points schemes/spends.

Hi, is it possible to transfer funds onto the clubcard + via internet banking?

I will be phoning up for an application shortly, I have a big family and thought I was doing well saving enough points to get us all into Drayton Manor for the day! (3 adult tickets, 4 childrena and one freebie under 4)

Yes you can, When you get your first card statement it will have your sort code and account number on for your Clubcard Plus.. Just send money to that like you would any other bank account..... and If you are lucky to be with a bank that currently has Faster Payments active then the money is there within 2 hours. :)

(I send money to me CC+ account from my Halifax account and it's there within 2 minutes)

  • I can't believe I hadn't thought of Clubcard+ = I used to work at Tesco!! I kinda thought they had stopped using them, but I've just phoned up and an application form is in the post.

I do hate the feeling that if I had done it earlier than the 2000+ points I am on so far this quarter would be 4000+

Better late than never, glad I stumbled upon this post!

    THANKS!!!!
