Well its two days since I've been paid and I have bought nothing non-essential!! I'm so proud of myself cause this time last month I'd spent £100 on clothes on the CC card!!! And now the only spends are good spends (well no spend is a good spend but you know what I mean!!)
I'm determined to keep this up and by doing so I will stay away from shops and anywhere I can spend money by trying to keep my lunch breaks filled with anything other than going to the shops!! LOL
Today I've got to post two ebay parcels, but I have a sinking feeling I've hidiously undercharged on one parcel so I'm going to lose out there which is annoying. Oh well, I need to buy some more acurate scales!!! LOL0 -
Well done on the non-spending truly. I'm the same with ebay I just randomly guess the postage and get it either way over - or under. I'm probably not a very popular seller in some circles. Well done on the selling tho.
It's my wedding anniversary so I'm off to a V posh restaurant for dinner. yum-yum! I've hardly spent any money for a week now. So am feeling very proud of myself.
Happy birthday for tomorrow CS - have a loely time at your posh hotel. Don't do anything we wouldn't.:DSave me from spending...

Almost a NSD for me
but I did buy lottery tickets for the next week or so while I am away- I use the same numbers each week, so...
Tomorrow will be a little more expensive, as I am having my hair cut and coloured0 -
Very very annoyed. Sold a DVD on Ebay which ended on the 15th March. The buyer paid on the 17th and I sent it out on the 20th. He has now opening a paypal dispute on item not received. Luckily I sent it Royal Mail Recorded so hopefully that will mean that PayPal won't take the funds away from me!0

Hello all,
Not about spending today, but a bit of a sob-story . . .
Today is my birthday, and as you all know my OH and I were going to go to a lovely hotel today, do some shopping in Shrewsbury, have dinner, and then settle down and watch a good film *ahem*.
Anyway, it's not to be. My daughter has been projectile vomiting since the early hours of this morning, so no lovely birthday treat for me!
Oh well, at least it means I won't be tempted into any spending today!
Have a good one all,

OH thats a shame CS! hope she feels better soon - can the trip not just be prosponed for a week or two? its such a shame if you miss out.
happy birthday by the way!
not much to report from me - other than the £600 for the new furniture, no compulsive spending for me! even turned down a last minute jaunt to london this weekend to see friends that we have not seen in ages! would of cost about £150 but we resisted. :T
have £300 for april. thats for fuel, study day to manchester on the 12th (train tickets already bought but will be staying with friends so  ), study day in london on the 24th (again train tickets already bought) and anything else personal - will be on nights next week so thats at least one week of not spending a penny
transferred £1000 into my savings from wages this month so plan is not to touch that.
so that my april challenge - failed miserably on march's!!! :rotfl:
have a good one everyone0 -
Doing pretty good here - no impulse purchases this month (aside from a few cd's at 2-3 quid each). Once you acknowledge you have a "problem" that problem is so much easier to deal with. Couple of times i have gone to pay for things online this month and backed out, asking myself the question "do i really need this?".
I always find reading a couple of threads on here helps to keep the importance of not overspending at the forefront of my numbskull (not for a second suggesting everyone has hit problems due to overspending).0 -
Hellllooooo everyone member number 43 checking in for the first time in a while!
Thats horrible that its happened on your birthday CS! Hope your daughter feels better soon and you still get your birthday (if a little postponed) treat! Happy Birthday hun!
Well I am pretty pee'd off still with this petrol situation! It cost me £37 to fill up my tiny 1 litre citroen which is ridiculous! So thats made a slight dent in my bank account. On the plus side I had an interview for a supply teaching agency on tuesday and should hopefully start doing some days next week at £100 a day woohoo! Hope I get lots lol! That should sort my overdraft out!!
Hope everyone's resisting the urge not to spend on silly things! I am going paintballing tomorrow :j but that is a necessity as its a welcome home for one of my bestest friends who has been in australia for over a year and I can't wait to see him!
Anyway have a good wknd everybody! xxShopaholic extraodinaire!Spendaholics Anonymous No: 430 -
