[LC, I've spent the time it's taken to write this post trying to figure out what SATC is, but now I give up! Help me out!
Sex and The City, CS. Call yourself a Shopoholic??? :rotfl:
Carrie Bradshaw is the biggest shopoholic of all time - does anyone remember the episode when she wanted to buy shoes (Manolo's of course!) and the shop assistant cut her card up in front of her?? That will be me soon (only surprised it hasn't happened already! :rotfl: )0 -
Well technically today is Thursday for me and tomorrow is Friday because its the last day of the week!! LOL0

good morning roomies
member number 8 checking in.
no compulsive spending for me in the last week. did buy a handbag of ebay but got £5 of with coupon so dont feel too guilty (also dont own a single handbag at moment and am sick of carrying purse, phone and keys in coat pocket!!!)
also have decided not to pay of CC with money I received from bank from mis sold PPI - CC is 0% for next 13 months so have put it in savings account for the time being - but it is strange, seeing a large amount in my savings account - it makes me even more determined not to spend anything!!! its weird
anyway - I keep reading the thread with great interest - its great how complete strangers can support each other and cheer each other up - keep up the good work!!
take care for now0 -

I saw that too CS. My brain went fuzzy and I felt the urge. But I went to makro instead and bought something far more constructive!! LOL0

Morning all!
I'm trying a different font and colour today (a change is as good as a rest, huh?).
I saw that too CS. My brain went fuzzy and I felt the urge. But I went to makro instead and bought something far more constructive!! LOL
Still can't get the shoes out of my head!!! Payday on Tuesday, and I'm definitely getting the itch. Fortunately my nearest Brantano is about 20 miles away in Telford, so maybe that will put me off! On the same site as the Brantano there is a Mothercare World (a whole world of Mothercare!!!). So, if I went there two of my spendaholic weaknesses would be truly tested!! Aaaarghh!! I love Makro, love it!!! Trouble is that's one of the sbsolute worst places for me to go to in terms of compulsive spending. I can go there for washing powder, and come out with tubs of penny sweets, bottled water, crisps, booze, mops, ironing boards . . . . . It's lethal!
Some happy news though, payday is 6 days away, and I still have £50 in my bank!!!! Seems like my resolve has paid off this month, but it's been bloody difficult!
Hope everyone manages to fight the compulsion today,

Well I heard the advert again last night and it appears that the offer ends on Easter Monday (closed on Easter Sunday though).
I get paid on Tuesday also, I have practically no petrol, £3.88 in my purse and I've yet to buy easter eggs for OH, Mum and my sister.

Gah.
Thank god for small mercies!!! (The shoes, I mean!)
As for the Easter Eggs, there's got to be some MSE solution for that!!! I'm going to go away and have a think about a good alternative for you . . .LBM: 14.01.08 - Debt at 25.04.08: £7420.925.06.10: 3200.00 :T I'm over half way there!!! :j
