Morning all!!
Well I'm officially skint. The excercise bike I wanted on ebay went for £19,97 which is about £19 more than I wanted to pay for it, but you know how it is when you get ebaying!! LOL Anyway turns out the person selling it lived in the road behind me so I went and got it last night. So I'm now the proud owner of an excercise bike. Can't wait to use it tonight now!!
But anyway that makes me superskint! Don't get paid until the 25th so basically I'm going to spend easter weekend with no money!! boo.0 -
Morning all!
t.m.d and Loopylu - if I find out any secret shopping sprees have gone on there'll be trouble!!! Although bizarre coincidence that you live by each other!!
Well done on the spends LC! I had a No-Spend-Weekend again too. Went to that ABBA tribute, but OH and my dad bought all the drinks :T (although now I wish they hadn't - my head's still hurting!)
smiffy - I'm giving you a number in about two minutes - have a look on my first post, and there's a Spendaholics Anonymous roll of honour. You don't have to do anything to join us (although I'm sure given time I could come up with some bizarre, anti-spedning type initiation ceremony!) Welcome to the board!!
Hope everyone has a good day,

Ohhh initiation ceremony??!! What would that entail - handing over CC cards perhaps!! LOL0 -
Hi Truly - I think it's ok that you got your exercise bike from ebay, surely that's allowed. However if you had spend £3k on one of those fanggle-danggled vibrating plate things that Madge and Angelina use that would have been a different thing!:p
CS - you are very good. I sometimes wonder why you started this thread as you seem to have the strongest willpower out of all of us!;)
Well, I'll be spending nowt naughty today. I'm off to the post office to send out some ebay stuff, and then grocery shopping. Oh the joys.
But first.....I'm cleaning the fridge. Inlaws are looking after the house this weekend. So time for the annual clean.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Save me from spending...

LC, it's this thread that's actually giving me the will power. It's amazing. I was nothing like this before I 'fessed up on here!!!! Just a shame the 'Giving up smoking' thread never worked for me!!Ohhh initiation ceremony??!! What would that entail - handing over CC cards perhaps!! LOL
tmd, I was thinking more like making you stand in the middle of Selfridges with £1000, and asking you to come out only with a jar of olives from the food hall or something!!! :rotfl:LBM: 14.01.08 - Debt at 25.04.08: £7420.925.06.10: 3200.00 :T I'm over half way there!!! :j

Wouldn't dream of it! For a start i have discovered that TMD is 12 years younger than me and probably skinnier too, so it would only depress me LOL!!
Anyway looks like a NS day for me today as it is cold and miserable so can't be bothered to venture out of the office and brought my lunch in today (well done me!) so no need really.0 -

Well no, but I do know that when I was 26 I weighed 2 stone less than I do now!! And I bet I've got more wrinkles than you, not to mention all the grey hairs I am accruing at the moment! Oh, what an attactive picture I paint!!:rotfl:0 -
Yes and when I was 17 I weighed 2 stone less!!!!!
And I have found the odd two or three or four grey hairs which are currently being hidden by lots of updo's!! LOL0 -
Oh dear are we trying so hard not to spend that now we've resorted to comparing how we look because we're bored?!? Lol!
I have decided my boyfriend is a bad influence on me as I had a mcdonalds today so not only did i spend money I didnt need to, I also had a load of calories too! DOH!
He lives in leicester too which is about an hour and a half drive from my house and that means petrol wen its my turn to come see him! And with the crazy prices of petrol that hurt my eyes (and my bank balance) when I look at the board that means loads of cash spent on that! Bloody petrol prices!Shopaholic extraodinaire!Spendaholics Anonymous No: 430
