  • OooooH! looks like we're a mixed bag of spending/no spending. I've been good today and spent nothing, apart from postage from some ebay sales and dry-cleaning. i put all of my change into my sealed pot.

Two of my online shops from last week arrived today. They're gorgeous gifts and cost £5 each instead of £20-30 that I would usually spend. So like Truly Madly Deeply I will save in the long run. :T

  • I've got a confession - I've spent LOADS yesterday!

I needed a new pair of trousers for pub work as the ones I was wearing were so tight I was cutting the circulation off to my leg so some of the girls were heading into town for lunch so I decided to go to primark to go with them. Ended up spending £24 in Primark. Then I saw a bag in river island and litterally fell in love with it £38 and then I needed to go to Tescos for milk and eggs because OH forgot to buy them despite being on the damn shopping list the day before and they've got a clothes sale on, so that was another £7 on jeans (which fit lovely btw and will get well worn!).

On the plus side loads of my auctions finished last night and I made about £50! I listed a few more bits last night so hopefully if I keep the money coming in I can justify the spending.

*waits to be told off again*

    Good Evening,

You guys all seem to be doing really well!!!

Something I thought I might share with those of you selling on ebay. There are sellers who sell job lots of bags which are cheaper than jiffy bags. You can get 50 bags for £4.50 with free postage with Samanthas. I would advice looking if you haven't already, that will bring down your costs.

    More Profit woo hoo!

I'm getting slightly obsessed with making money now lol

    Hope everyone is well

I haven't bought anything this week as have had no money... well actually i did buy a fleecy blanket for £2.99 when i bought petrol the other day... not quite sure why? altho it is quite cute and handy to have i'm sure!

    not!

payday today but need to kid on it wasn't as DD's/bills need paying and then i cannot spend anymore as going to Liverpool mid month and need to keep excess cash for that, £250 budgeted.

so today was the payday that never was!

    member #8 checking in.
well no compulsive spending for me since I got back from london. although have spent £5 since monday which makes a huge dent in my £80 for the month, although that was for 2 swimming sessions.
will be on nights next week so will not be spending a penny, which is good - also means that I will not be on here during the day either - boo hoo.

    take care everyone
  • morning all - justa catch up- everyone is doing fine, at least we are trying to understand our purchases, in time this will slow us down at the cashpoint I'm sure!
I went a little bit mad on saturday- bought a micro dermabrasion kit, bargain for £10, and some little bits of make up (in the cheap shops so they werent full price!). I also withdrew money from the cashpoint which I try to do only once a week, for a shoe shops closing down sale (cash only). when I got there nothing fitted anyway. So because I had money in my purse I bought the drinks for my oh on saturday night! I did leave my purse at home though yesterday, paid a couple of bills online. Today I have to buy a sympathy card, a prescription, and maybe a banana as left my fruit at home again. Will not will not will not buy glossies or crisps!

ive been sooooooooooo bad this week (apart from not logging on more often :rotfl: )

The uneceesary things that i have bought this week are mainly Cinema related - went for something to eat in the highstreet home of the royal burger and had a meal that cost £4.97!!!!!

The went to Tesco (cant think of a clever name) and bought a bottle of water and Sweets.

    Total about £7

Which would be fine, except i had a bottle of water at work (FREE) sweets in my handbag (that i FORGOT about) and i had time to go home and grab food but didnt.

Have also spen £16 on the lottery for the next 4 weeks as an EXTRA because i got 100 piggy points for registering - why oh why do i think that spending money to get something free is ok.

Had to get a temporary overdraft extension of £30 5 days before pay day - why am i unable to last 5 bleeding days.

Go on, someone slap me please xxx

  • Don't worry PB - I spent £20 in Boots yesterday - to get a free gift. I won't be spending anything else for the next few days though as I lost both my cash cards and £30 cash on the tube last night. Am V cross.

OK the Boots 500 extra points on £50 spend ends in the next couple of days. how do I avoid it. Keep telling myself March only starts in a few days so I can spend until then. Doh!
