Has no one else figured out, even without visiting the hotel's website, that this is a Mother's Day promotion??
Therefore being a lady and older probably means you're more likely to qualify as a "mother"!!!

Only problem is allthough MIL is 87, the only availability is the Toffee shop suite 1 night, cost £29.25
Breakfast for 2 £28.00
Parking £14.00

Total for 1 night £71.25

Therefore making this deal not quite as generous as at first seems. but if you are happy for the accomodation only, then its fine.

Yes, you might walk out your door and bump into lots of descrimiation - does that make it right then as you have accepted it as the norm?

What would our society be like now if black people had excepted slavery as the norm?

Also, whether you take the offer up is not the point - the point is that this company is clearly descriminating by age and I am ashamed that Martin would promote a company that does so

Many peoples views would be different if their offer was more cut and dry, like white people/men/people in the south/labour supporters etc. etc. get XYZ more discount than those that are not - Come on, you know there would be uproar if this happened!

If the offer was reversed - the youner you are the more discount you get - there would also be people upset - because it is clear descrimination!

However I disagree. It's just a fun offer. I cannot believe people get so uptight. Most people wanting to take advantage will be a couple, or someone spoiling their Mother, so what's the problem?

No one is being forced to use it, it's obviously aimed at the Mother's day market.

I would imagine 75% of offers around today are based on some criteria or other, rather than being a blanket offer for all. Everything from extra discounts from insurers if you either buy on-line, or have a car/house also insured with them, to loyalty discounts for people who spend more.

Many hotels often offer discounts for couples, or people staying for 2 nights rather than one, again this isn't discrimination, it is a clearly legal offer to entice people.

It is not discrimination, for that I'll send you all off to the OED for some reading.
