These instructions you mention - are they on a post for which you can supply a link? ;) I have a duck that I bought half price MONTHS ago and it's been languishing in the freezer ever since. I LOVE duck.

that's funny - I bought a gressingham duck from sainsbury's as they are half price at the mo!
  • Mine was one of those half price one's Shez:D

Anyway Rzl, if I've remembered my new found talent THIS is the link!

And what's even nicer is that I use a tip you gave for copy and paste using Ctrl C and CtrlV as I find it more reliable:D

Just realised, the only *extra* not in Pink's post, is pri ck it all over the skin with a skewer to allow the fat to drain easier.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Please feel free to move this..... it is probably in the wrong thread.

Today, I have turned up two pairs of trousers that have been sitting in my cupboard for about three months. This now means that I have an extra two pairs of work trousers. Also, they go with two pairs of shoes that didn't go with any of my other trousers so now I have a few more styles to wear for work - all without spending anything.:T

Eventually got round to doing this after reading so many of the threads on the OS forum - which got me motivated in the first place - so wanted to say a big thank you.

I cant remember which cooking show i was watching, but the other day someone was cooking duck breasts, and said to always cook duck from a cold pan/oven, as this helps it release more of its fat, because if you put it straight into hot, it seals the skin and doesnt let so much of the fat (and there is always lots)!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed yours CM, duck is my favourite!!!

GR - glad you are ok, i remember doing the same thing whilst carrying DS when he was 3 months old - saved him, not myself, and ended up in a similar state to you!!

PenPen - you are a star xxx

PP - hope you will be feeling better now after your busy weekend, looking forward to hearing about the posh hotel!!!

SOMO1 - hope your dad will be ok xxx

  • Hello everyone,
I am sooooo tired. Today i have been a whirling dirvish and done the following:
Cleaned/tidied and dusted the boys rooms, and our room.
Stripped all the beds and remade them.
Hoovered the whole house (even under the beds & furniture:eek: )
Made a roast chicken dinner and chocolate traybake:drool:
The poor wm has not stopped today.
I also managed to make some more kitchen seat covers for the cushion pads on there out of wipeclean oilcloth which i got from laura ashley, really pleased with them. Wipe clean cos i'm fed up with changing and washing the fabric ones because the boys are mucky so and so's
Need to go to bed now. Too tired to catch up on the thread so hope everyone is ok and have enjoyed their weekend. If not hugs to those who need one.
