  • Good morning everyone

Rzl Funnily enough, I have woken up with my cold again. I think mine hasn't fully gone away either. It would wait until half-term to resurface. Hope you feel better soon.
Smoky hope DH continues to improve. (((hugs))) to you and yours.
stressedsteph I am dreading handing in copies of my bank statements for my re-mortgage. Every second entry will be for a supermarket. :rotfl: I have decided that I will not be going to the shops this week at all. I need to get back to budgeting.
Salopman as mentioned above, I will be re-mortgaging shortly too. I work for an IFA who specialises in mortgages but even he is struggling to find something that comes near to the deal I had 2 years ago. Maybe the money you save by not having your Dchildren at home will help you.

DD is decidedly hormonal at the moment. She seems to throw a strop every hour on the hour. Getting rather tedious now. She also expects me to entertain her every hour that she is awake. I can see "words" being exchanged at some point.

A beautiful sunny day here. So we are off to mass and then may go on a mystery drive. It's amazing how many pretty little villages, etc that we have found by just setting off and then deciding "right or left?". A nice walk around the docks would be good too so I think we will do both.

Have a sunny Sunday and (((hugs))) to all. xx

    Morning all!

Had a *great* night out last night with everyone from my work - MrS came along too and it's the first time he's really met my work friends - everyone hit it off famously and it was fab!

Slight change of plan though - I woke up yesterday with cystitis so I had an emergency trip to the docs to get some antibiotics. Meant no drinks for me but at least I could drive and saved us an expensive train/taxi trip!

Might go and wake MrS up in a bit, then it's Tesco/farmshop time and some tidying, I think!

    Hugs to all,

    S

    Morning Everyone

Plans for today are to get the washing sorted out and sort out my gardening cupboard in the garage. I also want to make a plan for the garden. Later on I need to do some paper work sorting out. Were having a high tea today so no need to do a roast but I'm going to prep stuff for a chilli tomorrow.

    Have a good day everyone

  • Morning:hello:

Churchmouse.... Darn right you should be at Church. ;) You may be there all day praying for forgiveness so I hope you thought to bring a flask. ;):p
Crazychick... I hope you haven't frozen at the car boot sale.
Nice to see you Math :hello:
PennyPincher....Aren't you back from that hotel yet to tell us all about the poshness? :D
Tru....You sound like me when it comes to mobiles. It looks pretty though. :o
Pink...What a good idea re the boot sale. I wish I'd thought of that. But our local one will nearly be over by now. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Great start to the morning.....Got up, tripped over OH's shoes, hit arm on door.... walked onto laning and narrowly mised stepping in a lump of cat poo, deposited I'm sure in spite as there is a perfectly good cat flap and this particular cat hasn't forgiven me for having her teeth removed.
Made it to bathroom to find not only was there no loo roll in the bathroom, but none in the house.
Banged my toe on the hall table trying to avoid said cat who was being chased upstairs by cat number 2.
OH still asleep so can't do anything until he gets up and finishes the DIY.
Children still on the verge of killing each other or at the very least mutilating as they seem determined to prove every theory of twin closeness wrong. Someone appears to have deposited 3 large bags of ash and soot in the living room straight onto the clothes horse of white shirts. Aaaargh!!!
And to top it all the rest of the day will be spent Ironing schmironing.

So happy sunday everyone and say a little prayer for me Churchie. :D

    Good morning everyone:wave:

    Hello Haribo :hello:

I haven't been around since the new year, as things have been pretty busy, but I've made a :coffee: so thought I would spend 5 minutes reading what everyone is up to today.

For us, life became busier when I took my DDs out of school to educate them myself. Although everything seems to be going at 100mph, there is less stress, and, as a family we are happier. Of course now, my mornings are spent lesson planning rather than catching up with the dailies, and I just about manage to keep on top of the competitions board.

We finally managed to get rid of the mice, which is a relief, although the traps and poison are still down, just in case.

OS is still going strong here, and I haven't slipped back to my pre mse days yet, although it has been tempting to shop for convenience, purely for the time factor. However, I'm batch cooking more so there are plenty of HM ready meals for the days when time is stretched.

You've had a busy morning Pink. All I've managed is preparing the dinner and washing the breakfast dishes. Today's dinner is roast beef, roast pots, [pasta for DD1] mixed veg, yorkshires and gravy. I bought a pineapple from aldi for 59p so that's dessert taken care of too.

Hope you feel better soon Bargain Rzl.

I sympathise with the hormonal DD anniebooklover. It's not fun for anyone is it!

:grouphug: Hugs :grouphug: to anybody who wants them and have a great Sunday everyone.

    Pipkin xxxx

morning all ....... er afternoon I mean

Tru - I know what you mean about phones too - mine busted yesterday and I'm not due an upgrade till july so i bought a cheapy one from asda - £20. dd18 is now ashamed to be with me and begs me not to answer it in public.

Taking a break from dd11's room - good grief I just don't know what to do with it all - it is a shrine to teddies and dr who stuff. Annie booklover how old is your dd - mine is "the little girl who had a little curl" at the moment - a sign of thngs to come :(

Waiting for a phone call from dd18 to sign her dbf's passport forms. He is beng a complete pain - reckons he's getting the passport and a visa to china on monday - went to do it yestereday and he hasn't done the photos that I need to countersign so when she phones I'm going to tell her I'm out - we have planned this as the china trip is only for him and news to her until last week. That means that he will have to fnd someone to countersign, go into central london for the passport and get the visa all in one day - some hope.

Pipkin - lucky you homeschooling - I really wanted to do this but have to w*rk as I'm a SP. Actually dd is way brighter than me but it would be brilliant for her to go at her own pace and have some flexibility about how she learns.

ok back to the Dreaded Room of Doom - I may be some time
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
  • Good morning everyone.

Just wanted to come in and say thanks to Penny Penguin for helping out last week. I fell down the fell length of my stairs and have bruised my coccyx and my arm is still numb and bruised from shoulder to elbow. Penny came armed with h/m soup and rolls then took the boys to the park so I could rest.

    So THANK YOU!!!
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

    Afternoon all

Back from the car boot, Ive left OH to pack away (hee hee), he sold a few items, but he was put in a carppy place. Didnt do as well as last week. I got fed up of wiping away the frost from the items! Thats how cold it was. I can just barely feel my toes. I hate the end bit, the stragglers as we call them, as people expect things for free. Thats when I "lose" it and have to come away!

    Roast chicken dinner today.
Just went to put some clothes in the dryer, and the wet clothes are fozen solid! (my laundry room is in the out house)

Sadly my mum has packed her new job in. I no it didnt last long, but the travelling got her down and it scared her when they had a lock down, and a patient set about on her!

    Take care all

Hi everyone  Not normally on-line at the weekends but I'm sat her at work (and the only one in my sector :( ) so I'd thought I'd pop in and say hello. :)

Smokeybabe, thanks taking the time to for keep us up to date on your DH's progress - really glad he's moving in the right direction. Hugs for the both of you.
Tru - I hate phones too, the last time I had to replace mine (I need it for work, otherwise I'd ditch it) I went into the store and the guy started rattling off lists of features. He looked at me as if I was mad when I said that all I wanted was a phone that rang when somone called it and didn't make stupid noises when it was switched on. He honestly froze, then went back tothe same sales patter. I also want to throttle the marketing genius who thought stuffing set of tinny speakers into them was a good idea.

I cooked roast beef last night and it was fine, tonight we have lentil and cheese loaf, salad and bread for tea - I'm not sure how the loaf will turn out as I chucked in the large quantity of cold pilau rice that has been in the fridge since friday. Smells okay though and OH was trying to eat it before I put it in the oven, so I think it will be fine. I always have a shedload of rice left over when I cook it as I'm awful at getting the quantity right, so if this works I have another way of using/hiding the excess. :rotfl:

Still, got to go an wrestle some data processing before my boss arrives! have a good day all, celyn x
