  • Hi Guys!

The wedding was beautiful and the food devine, but TBH, didnt enjoy it much as I feel quite ill again. I think this cold has left me with a chest infection, so have called my GP and he is popping in on his rounds to check me over. It hurts to breathe and I cant get comfortable. I wouldnt mind but I was in the wheelchair all of yesterday and went back to the room around 7pm. I am utterly fed up!!

Smokey-Havent read yesterdays thread but guessing that things have improved which is great.

Once I have a bit more energy, I will post about the wedding.

    Thanks everyone.

I fell down the fell length of my stairs and have bruised my coccyx and my arm is still numb and bruised from shoulder to elbow.

Hope you're soon feeling better GR.

It sounds like a nasty fall.

    Take care

    Afternoon all.

I've got an interview date for the job I'm aftern - Thursday afternoon. I have to give a 10-15 minute presentation on how to make the role creative and interesting, so wish me luck!

I should be writing it now, but instead I've meal planned for the next month and put together a tesco order. Its about 6 weeks since we had one so its a bit big and scary. Budget £100, have got about £109 in there, plus 4.75 delivery for Weds morning. Hoping the special offers (of which there aren't many) bring it down a bit. Does anyone else find that since they re-did the site you have to sign in more than before? Very annoying.

Have got a rice pud in the oven, and a bag of beetroot to sort out. It was going in the compost because DH never got round to picking them last year, but I'm going to see if any of it is salvageable and have it as a boiled veg tonight. (No idea what with, as we've been using up for the last 3 weeks or so.)

Might have a go at sorting out the cleaning cupboard. Anything to put off working on the presentation!!!

Have a good day all. Hugs to anyone who wants them,

    Hi all !
All behind myself today.............did some card making then had visit from ex foster girl (she normally calls once a week)............long visit this time which was lovely.

Costed out my birthday and christmas baskets that I've done to make sure I'm within my spending limit.............and I am (except for ex foster girls christmas one but she's worth it ! and I'm only a little bit over.

Letter rack is about to fall over with stuff that needs filing away or answering..............meant to do that but came on here instead...........lol

Very cold, despite the sunshine so if you go out make sure you stay warm.

Have a great day and hugs ((((((((((((((((((:o ))))))))))) to all those who need them

  • Afternoon everyone

Had a call this morning to tell me that my Dad had been taken to hospital in an ambulance at 4.30am. Won't go into the gory details, but he's got a problem with his stoma (a mass has burst out of the side). I'm waiting to hear the results from the surgical team - so fingers crossed he'll be ok.

Anyway, OS wise have done 4 loads of washing and drying - now I need to iron everything

Lunch was last night's leftover pizza and tea tonight will be shepherd's pie. I forgot to get the chicken out of the freezer

Half term this week for DD. The IL's are having her for the whole week, as payback for my dogwalking :T So no childcare fees for me :D

Anyway I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

    (((((hugs)))))
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

I know its been quite a while and I appologise for the absence. I don't have the web at home and so I'm restricted to when I'm at family to log on and see what is going on. For a change I have a few minutes.

The little one is now 15 months old and is becoming a right little monster. She has a very determined streak and isn't afraid to let it be known either. She appears to be pretty bright, but we won't know the true state of affairs for quite some time. She's walking, starting to talk (does a very cute 'bye'), climbs the furniture, follows me around everywhere, screams if left alone, loves eating paper, fluff and dog bistcuits (from her nans), and is generally a joy. No obvious problems so far, but that's not tos ay we won't get any.

Old style wise I'm slowly cooking more and getting more daring. I'm a SAHM and so occasionally have some time of my hands to try something a little different. Budget allowing of course, which is very tight because of my SAHM status.

Take care to all...and must go cos Daddy wants a surf.
Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.

    Afternoon all

Haribo - What are you like!!! I think I'd have picked up said cat poo and chased the twins around with it until they'd got the message!

Hugs to all the poorly ones or those in general need.

My cold too, has come back and DH has just got out the shower and is covered from head to toe in spots.......hmmmmmm he's been feeling a bit rough for a few days so hopefully whatever it is, is on it's way out.....spots don't itch so no idea

Went to the beach this morning at Dymchurch, was really lovely and sunny, bitter wind though but we wrapped up warm and took a flask with us....we played cricket and covered the beach in drawings before flying kites.....was very relaxing.

This afternoon has seen me and DH putting the trampoline together which we'd been promising to do since we moved - one of the cats had been at it though and it was covered in pee.....hence showering at this time of day....will get the pressure washer on it tomorrow to make sure it's fit for use.

Need to get a traybake done later, shepherds pie from the freezer for tea and need to make some rolls too.

Hope you all have a great evening.
