    Hugs to smokybabe,

    hello to rozza x

quick one from me today, DD has a friend who stayed over last night, she is horrible, I have not had a thank you yet, and when I asked what time her mum was coming to collect her she said 'oh I assumed you were taking me home' , she will not be coming again !!

Off into town in a mo for a few bits, will then take the dog out, I have got a real urge for some fish today, so am going to pop into MR T to see what they have.

  • Afternoon All

DH didnt have his tooth done after all, we turned up on time but seems he has a mild cold and a temperature which we were unaware of so it has been postponed for 2 1/2 weeks - so a wasted morning.

Been to the farm shop to stock up on veg and my favourite local sausages.

Waiting for family to turn up - they are always late unlike myself - I would rather be 30mins early than 5 mins late. But on plus side will be able to go out for lunch if its still on offer, knowing my luck they will have eaten on the way.

Hester - hope you manage to get through half term without strangling Katie - I would have long ago.

    Morning everybody :hello:

Big hugs again to smokybabe, I'm guessing no news is good news? You're still in my prayers.

PenPin - enjoy the wedding and that posh hotel! Hope your cold is better soon.

catowen - hope your day picks up from here! ((Hugs)) By the way, I did the penne, goats' cheese and runner beans recipe out of the Gordon Ramsay book the other night and it was YUMMY. But if you try it, I suggest you go a bit easy on the quantity of butter, as mine had a bit much.

PenPen & Churchmouse - enjoy your lunch :)

meanmarie - I hope your DD goes into labour soon!

I've had my eye on the Tefal steamer that's down from £59.99 to £19.99 on the Argos Clearance website - but had given up hope of getting one as it seemed to be out of stock at all my local branches. Last night I investigated some branches slightly further afield, and the result was I managed to reserve what appears to be the last one in South London :T so am off to Streatham later to buy it. It's only two buses away, so not really too much hassle at all, except for the fact that I know how bad the Saturday traffic can be on Streatham High Road  If i'm not back here by tomorrow, send out a search party!

Off to the opera tonight with a friend I met on a music forum - he lives in Russia but is over here this week renewing his visa, and when he said he was planning to go to this evening's show I said oh, I've got two free tickets for that...

    Hugs to all in need

    Love Rzl xx

Thanks for the steamer alert, one of the bowls on mine 'got dropped' and it'sonly a matter of time before it becomes unusable I suspect, Presuming this tefal one is just an end of line or something, Have a 25 min drive to neighbouring town to get one I have reserved... they have free parking round the town, so that is good,

    Bit parky this morning

Back from my few days break in the [strike]retirement home[/strike] warner hotel. mmmmm - was as expected to be honest but we made the most of it and enjoyed the food, the location and the relaxing time by the pool. The beetle drive, bingo and tea dances we somehow managed to miss every day :D Did have some amazing weather for Feb so did get a bit of colour when we had a beach day (well actually it was pebble day) They did ask us if we wanted to book again and we said yes..............in 2038:rotfl: My mate is now banned from hotel bookings :D

Anyway back to normality and a case full of washing lucky me.

Havent read all the dailys yet but i did catch up with Smokeys news so wishing you and DH all the best.
CM and Pen Pen have a good day ladies - bet our ears will be burning later:D
Haribo - I really hope its not really your compost:eek:

Right off to do some [strike]lazing and catching up with the threads [/strike] swishing :j

had every intention of calling on you on my way back from Uni last Tuesday but we didn't go :(
Car broke down again so when OH in work I was a bit stranded
DD wants to know can she come and stay with Aunty Nels over Easter? she wants you to show her how to make those containers for keeping wipes in :)

cold here as well today, just been to PO in my crocs and lost 3 toes to frostbite :o

    Hello all !

Lovely bright and sunny day but really heavy frost this morning.........almost looked like snow !!! Still very cold and now I'm having a panic over the bathroom radiator not working.........or at least not properly. Its the one thats supposed to stay at a constant temperature (no thermostat) -seems there has to be one like that. Well, I don't understand it, nor does OH.......all the other radiators are working ok............just not the bathroom one so looks like I'll have to phone the boiler people as the boilers still under guarantee. Mind you, boilers working ok so I expect that'll mean contacting a plumber.........how much will that be I wonder ? Well I'm not doing it this weekend thats for sure. I'll try the boiler folk first.

Still, managed to sort out some of the hampers I've created for birthday and christmas pressies............all worked out nice and cheap and now at least I know who is having what in theirs................lol

Our lad off in London somewhere with girlfriend so its all peace and quiet and nice to get the house to ourselves for a change. Doesn't happen that often.Pile of paperwork to go through............where does it all come from ? And then must try and work out this electric/gas switch business. All very confusing - don't understand it at all. Ive tried different comparison sites and they give me different options:confused:

Oh well, onward and upward as they say..............have a good day all and hugs (((((((((((((((:o ))))))))))))))) to those who need them
    Mary

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

liar you just didnt want to lose your street cred by saying you were going to a warner:rotfl: :p

DD can come and craft with me anytime she wants ;) - maybe over Easter we will blow some eggs and quilt as well (dont tell her though - i'll save it as a surprise:D )

Case emptied, coronation street being watched, still not swished still not shopped :o

    Hi purpleivy,

Well I survived... and my new toy is now back home. It looks good quality, but it doesn't nest for storage. I did guess that this was the case from the pic on the website - but it would be nice if it did.

Still, a good Tefal model for that price...

    Good afternoon all!

Haven't been on for a couple of days (have vague memories of reading the first page of the thread yesterday or the day before  ) so will go and catch up in a minute.

Smokeybabe - I gather from today's thread that your DH is ill, so am thinking of you, and keep you in my prayers. (((HUGS)))

Bargain Rzl - enjoy your steamer! My DD1 was given one for Christmas and is very pleased with it. We tried it out on Christmas lunch, and the veggies were lovely.

Penny_Pincher!! - hope the wedding went well and that you're not too weary.

Churchmouse and Penelope Penguin - hope you have had a lovely day! Did you have lunch in the museum's restaurant?

Catowen - I will indeed give you a wave as we cross the bridge, and hope that another time I'll be in Cornwall long enough to come and give you a big (((HUG))) because you're a sweetie!

Nelski - glad you've recovered from the Warner hotel! :D Has the hotel recovered from you, though? :D At least they didn't press-gang you into the bingo etc (shudder)

I don't suppose I'll have time to post in the morning as we're off to Cornwall as soon as DH has picked me up from church , so will say cheerio for now, and "see" you all next week!

    Best wishes

    ivyleaf xx
