HJ - don't be disillusioned. I am looking forward to see DS as I haven't seen him since 28th Dec. and only then for 4 days, 2 of which he was out with his mates drinking, and before that mid-Nov.

However, we will disagree during the visit for sure, and DH and I will breathe a sign of relief when the chaos goes home. We will also be lighter in our pockets. However, he is our only one and I think I miss the disagreements, though we can have those via email and messenger.

Off to pick him up now.

    Afternoon all!

Firstly have a lovely holiday ivyleaf, and hope the journey is as little tiring as possible if that makes any sense:rotfl:

Well I met PennyPenguin and she's lovely ( but wasn't wearing her penguin suit or that fetching chicken hat;) ) She has a lovely DH and two delightful children of whom she is justly proud. But we ditched them and went off on our own:D :rotfl: No ivyleaf, we didn't eat in the museum, but in the nice pub opposite called *the Museum* They serve very nice food, and at a very cheap price in my opinion. HJ how very dare you!!!! Penny is the same age as Pink, I'm a tad older (don't even think about it:rotfl: )Ancient relics indeed:naughty::naughty: Anyway, I've had a thoroughly nice day, and we talked the hind legs off a couple of donkeys at least! When we parted, I was given a lovely gift of new-laid eggs and a dishcloth:D :D Brekkie tomorrow will be boiled eggs and soldiers, yum yum. And I just know (Aussie shut up!:p :D ) that the eggs I choose will be the ones laid by Mouse;)

((((hugs)))) to those that want one and especial thoughts for you smokybabe. Hope DH is making progress.

    CM xxx

Rzl, hope you'll be happy with the steamer. Have decided to go with the cheapy from Amazon. Did my shop at Mr T instead this afternoon and then went to Borders. Got the Michael Pollan book. Had a voucher for £5 off a £20 purchase, so found a gift book for SIL for birthday, it's about making and using flavoured oils and vinegars. Hope she makes me some for Christmas.... stuff she gets us is sometimes a bit weird, but at least you can't go wrong with oil and vinegar.... can you? LOL! Might sneak a peak first! Very moneysaving !

Just got back from Lidl and the fridge is now full of food!

Someone came to pick up the office desk that I advertised on Freecycle and we have rearranged the study and washed the curtains. The room looks bigger and brighter now. DH very pleased as he did not think it would ever get moved!!!

    Smokey

Good luck for your husband and I hope he improves even faster.

DD is on her way back home and wants to be met so I will have to race out again.

Hi everyone. OH has come home and asked us if we'd like to go out, thought it would be nice to have a family evening out (i Hardly ever go out). However, the girls have argued so much about where they want to go and how one of them always gets her way and vice versa that I have just about had enough , and I am sorely tempted to tell them all to do what thewy like, but I have rather gone off the idea of going out with 2 girls who are close to ripping each other's heads off-when I was their age i used to jump at the chance of going out and I didn't care where we went, we just looked forward to the event. Where Have I gone wrong!!!!!
