SSL is on by default on my brand new set up - but when I tried downloading the additions pointed to in post #2 they tell me I don't have it enabled.

So, er, Firefox Tools etc says it is, and Firefox Download Extensions says it isn't. Are they going to fight it out all night or is there something else I need to do?

    :)

I've no idea why that would happen

That did it. The SSL radio buttons were checked but the T10 (or whatever - the third one) wasn't.

  • Firefox is definitely the best browser out there. I use it with adblock to strip out all adverts on the web pages... which makes browsing faster and gets rid of all those pesky advertisers!

Arguable, given how resource hungry it can be, and how slow its load times are. Opera is definitely an excellent browser too.

IE is still very good, you just need to know how to lock it down. It lacks tabbed browsing though.

I agree it isn't stable yet, but hopefully the beta feedback will improve this, they have gone for the standards compliance with all of the nice extras that the others offer.
