I used to have some of my favourite sites bookmarked in the same favourites folder called 'Daily'. I would visit all the sites in that folder once a day so I was up to date with the latest news. But it's hard work to go to sites one after the other on the off-chance that they might have been updated with a story I like.
Wouldn't it be good if there was a program that would list all the newest stories your favourite sites have put up?
That's what you can do if a site provides 'RSS feeds'.
You can see in the screen shot I posted, I clicked MSE - All and it showed me in the frame below the latest threads posted on MSE. It could do this because I had told my newsreader where the MSE feed is (that's a page written in a way that newsreaders can understand)
If I had clicked BBC News it would have shown me the latest stories from BBC news.
So I can really quickly check a dozen sites to see if they've posted anything I'm interested in0 -

one thing that really annoys me about this site using rss feeds that you have to scroll to the right to read the new postings grrrrWhile I breathe.... I hope0 -
Can someone help I have tried downloading Firefox but when I try to open it I get the error message 7-Zip Unspecified error, my system colpies with the stated requirements0

Surprised that nobody else has mentioned Firefox's annoying habit of throwing away ALL your bookmarks and ALL your settings now and again  . It mostly happens if you have a system crash while Firefox is open but also can happen if Firefox locks up and you have to kill the process. Google has plenty of examples.
There is a free bookmark backup extension available here which I regard as essential, or you could buy EZ Firefox Backup instead.:j The £2 CSC = £48 in carton£100 banked Mar 06V-Free : 4 weeks0 -
To answer: How does this relate to saving money.
It's a freebie like any other. And improving your browser at no cost is improving the value you get. This is of course a MoneySaving site and that's its core use, but of course there are peripheries. The funnies i add to the end of the tip aren't MoneySaving either. Yet i think the fact 20,000 people have read this shows many view it as valuable

How do I set up firefox to print using smaller fonts but the screen fonts remains the same?0

Can anyone tell me how to set up Firefox to cater for two users (two sets of bookmarks etc)? We currently use Netscape where we have two profiles - can we take across both sets of bookmarks then maintain and access them separately?0
