Firstly - I agree, Firefox is the best browser out there, you should try it for sure!
Now... if you have already installed it after reading all the previous posts, maybe you want to take it to another level, eh?!!
If you install the Adblock extension you can block out all adverts on every webpage that you load! Which saves your bandwidth, and having to see another stupid crazy frog ringtone advert!!!
Of course - you will need a good set of filters to import into the extension to make it work. You can find some here with instructions here.0 -
Maybe I'm being thick, but how does changing from one free browser to another free browser save me money?
Or is the Money Saving Expert website now moving away from just providing Money Saving Expertise?0 -

Roboform does work with Firefox 1.06. You have to use the 'roboform-firefox 1.0.5.xpi' version. Download the above and when Firefox is in use, use 'open file' and point to this version. It will install as an extension. For further notes, read the Firefox web site regarding using extensions.0

Browsers are the software used to view the net, 90% of people use Microsofts Internet Explorer, yet Mozilla's Firefox is commonly regarded as beating it hands down & a free 'British' English version is available. It's worth a look (you don't have to get rid of your old browser) as amongst other things it allows free live updates to sites such as MoneySavingExpert!).
About time i love using rss feeds i use it at work too if not busy :-)While I breathe.... I hope0 -

When I try and open Moneysupermarket Myaccounts in Firefox I get
"The resource you have requested cannot be displayed. The most likely cause for this is that your browser does not support 128-bit SSL connections."
any ideas?0 -

It can save money. I'm sure there are people out there that have used IE, become infested with Spyware etc... and had to call in a technician to get the machine fixed. The techie forum provides advise on how to keep your computer trouble free, and cost free.
Firefox is just another way of insuring (or reducing) that problems don't happen. In most cases, the more problematic your computer is the more it'll cost you."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
isasmurf wrote:I disagree with you here Martin. Firefox is pants. To get it better than IE you have to download extras with god knows what lies within them. Opera is much better and no need to download anything extra.
How is Firefox "pants"? It's a light, modular, browser, where you can install what parts you want. It's definitely not a bad browser. However, you do mention Opera, which is another good browser. People have different tastes. I personally prefer Firefox and Thunderbird.
In fact IE may have flaws, but still is a very good browser too, you just need the right setup. Personally I'm waiting for IE7 too see how Microsoft counter the slipping grasp they have on the web community."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
