Thats not possible btw, not according to Mr Gates anyway
Try opening "my computer" and instead of looking for a folder, stick in a url in the address bar...0 -
Internet Explorer is my default browser, how do I change it to be Firefox as the default?0

You can see if your favourite site has a story that interests you without visiting it.
I can click on the sage Icon and it shows me the sites I've subscribed to. Sites that have new stories have a star next to them.
Clicking on MSE All shows me all the latest stories from MSE in the bottom frame then I can click on a story to see it in the main section.
I've just installed sage - it's great, thank you.
This may sound dim but how did you set up to search argos or similar. I could see what you've done but not how
I've been using both firefox and thunderbird for a couple of months now and I think they are both brilliant.0 -

.
Go to www.argos.co.uk
right-click the search box and select 'add a keyword for this search'
You will then be shown the normal 'Add Bookmark' box
Give it any name you like,
give it the keyword 'argos',
save it somwhere in bookmarks - by default you are given a Quick Searches folder but you can save it anywhere you like - you won't ever have to use this bookmark
From now on when you type argos in the address bar followed by a keyword, it will search argos for that word
(edited the final paragraph because i made silly mistake)0 -
Yep I've cracked it! V.clever, thanks again :j0

It should work
I don't think you can set Firefox to use a specific email program. It should use whatever you have as your system default.
You could try going into outlook,
Tools / options then the other tab
"Make outlook the default program for email..."0 -
I use Firefox 95% of the time and IE 5% of the time when the website has been badly programmed.
Netscape now offer both support for both Firefox and IE
see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4562343.stm
As an example the BBC Radio Player works ok in IE but in Firefox the 5mins> and 15mins> buttons do not work so if I want to listen to Martin on the Jeremy Vine show through the archived list of shows on the BBC website I either have to use IE or listen to the first hour before Martin with Firefox.0
