I'm getting an alert saying "Firefox is preventing this site from installing software on your computer"Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

Going to give Firefox a try since I've managed to somehow delete IE6 from my very poor PC in error."Excellent !!"0

How does Firefox compare with Netscape and Monzilla? I understand they are based on the same code.
I am presently using Netscape 7.2 and I am very pleased with it. I tried recently to upgrade to Netscape 8.0.2 and had problems with this version and had to go back to 7.2.
Has anyone else had problems with the new version?

Netscape and Mozilla are big, bulky suites filled up with lots of options you might never use.
The idea behind Firefox is different. You get a basic browser (although it has a lot more features than IE when you get it) and you choose from the thousands of Themes and Extensions that you can install in seconds.
(might post some screenshots of my fav features at work later if I have time)0 -
I used Firefox for a while and it's definitely better than Internet Explorer for features and security...
..however, I then discovered Avant Browser which I think is both faster and more feature packed than both, and it's also completely free.

Thanks for that info. Look forward to seeing some screenshots. Does Firefox have a mailserver? Netscape 7.2 has a good POP mailserver but I couldn't find one in version 8.

There's no built-in mail client in Firefox because it is just a browser.
Thunderbird is the companion mail software to Firefox and it's very good.0
