I freeze my cheese in a big tupperware box, stays all nice and loose, and the OH doesnt carve huge chunks when he has the munchies!:j0

I have bought a large amount of cheese. Is it best to freeze it in blocks or grate it and then freeze?

Hi lucielle,
If it's hard cheese I usually grate it too because once it's been frozen it can become crumbly and difficult to cut. As sunflower has said if grated cheese is frozen loosely packed in a freezer bag or container it's easy to just take out the amount you need.
There's an earlier thread on freezing cheese so I'll add this thread to it to keep the replies together.
