My friend has just emailed me to say that she was stopped fom using lnternet coupons today in store as apparently they have had a letter from Head Office saying that they cannot be used anymore. Has anyone else found this?

I had thesame yesterdayand today from both of my happy scanners. One said that they are not allowd to take printed ones anymore, the other one said you have to actually haveto buy the productto use a MOC... Have to quiz another one tomorrow to find out what's really going on....

Had no problems yesterday! HAnded pile over! Just tend to smile sweetly and ask if they can check if all these work - thanks so much!!! works a treat!
  • I used some today no problem at all.

I do not use internet coupons though, mainly because i only have a black and white printer and the SA often thinks i'm trying to pass a photocopy.

I've been out with the kids today and tried my lucjk at 2 tescos.
First one bought a pair of curtains and thought, s*d it, and handed her 13x £1 huggies vouchers. She took the lot! So thats a fair amount used.
Visited an express on way homme,, spent about £8, gave £5 in coupons in and she scanned them all no probs.

Am dreading my local tesco tomorrow though; just hoping I don't get "only 3 now" or none at all.

btw, some of us have forecast that this will eventually happen due to people giving in coupons that tesco cannot redeem. If it IS a new policy, I hope those that adopt said practice are proud of themselves.

  • Ours has been three per transaction if you don't purchase products specified for a few months now.

  • We have never been able to use internet coupons in ours and then it has been 10% rule unless you actually buy the item!
  • Ours has always taken internet coupons, magazine coupons you name it they would take them and as many as you wanted to use too as long as there was only 1 of each type BUT not anymore. They will only take them if you've bought the product now.I've asked my dad to go tomorrow and try to use 1 small coupon and see if they say the same to him.I'm getting a complex now and wondering if maybe some big note comes on the screen when they scan my clubcard

I'm fortunate because I have 5 (yes 5) Tesco's, 1 Asda, 4 Home and Bargain, Aldi, 2 Netto's, Morrisons, 2 Sainsbury's, 3 Icelands all within 3 mile of each other. I shop at them all but get a large percentage of my items at Tesco because of the coupons. If I didn't use the coupons, on the whole my shop would be too dear compared with the other stores.

As of yet I have been able to use as many coupons as I like (providing they are different ones). I tend to do a lot of smaller shops. If this stops then why would I want to go into Tesco's when I can buy my shopping cheaper elsewhere?? Competition is a great thing.
