I have vacummed the bedroom and landing.. but am saving the stairs until about 1pm when Mrs next door goes to bed for a napmean i know, but if she won't be reasonable about that flaming dog barking all the time then needs must and all that . Its bad enough when they go out and it keeps on barking for about an hour...but my real irritation is like she is doing now..she is in the house but has shut the dog out in the garden and it is barking its head back off to be let in and she is ignoring it  .... i can here it over my radio..even at the front of the house with all my windows shut... i like to let loads of air into the house...and am getting really peeved at being forced to shut them to try and reduce the noise...
So, as her bedroom backs onto my stairs -you will be amazed how long its going to take me to vaccum them..loudly... and do i fancy listening to Bon Jovi..or def leppard whilst doing it
Mind she should be grateful as she will make her little one go to bed... his room backs onto my bathroom -but im not willing to make him suffer..mind she only bl**dy ignores him anyway
Right...deep breath and rant over
Apart from that everything is tickity boo
Well done rockie :j chuffed to little mintballs for you :T :T ..
of course its friendly concern... i reckon i get it from my lovely dad.. he always sat at the table by the window watching the world go by
We had some neighbours who liked to barbecue and play loud music almost every night in the summer, funny, but they didn't appreciate classical music at 6.30am!!!
A few years ago the police raided a house up the road for drugs and the 2 old ladies who lived opposite sat out in deckchairs doing their knitting while they watched :rotfl: I'm not quite that obvious
Well done Nicky and all the other losers:T :T

Hello everyone - didn't get on to the computer yesterday as I had to go to A&E with an episode of my AF (palpitations thingie) - I was there until 7.30 this morning, even though I went back into normal rhythm at about 10 o'clock last night - I was all that time waiting for a doctor to come and review me - they were mega busy. Anyway just had a catch up on the thread and well done to nicki, Rockie and all other losers.
Hi Caterina - I just came back last week and it has really done me good. I find the best place for veggie info and links etc is the vegetarian society website - can't remember the exact title -I just google vegetarian society and it comes up. Also, there is a really good book by Rose Elliot - called vegetarian slimming - you can get it for coppers plus postage on Amazon (used) or it may be in the library.
Queenpig - how awful for your friend! I found a little lump a couple of years ago, which turned out to be a simple cyst, but I was beside myself with worry. It is really difficult to know what to say to her, perhaps just listen and offer to go along to doctors if she has no-one to go with.
OMG - I had totally forgotten about rum and raising choc ices - I used to love them!
Do any of you ever mix chocolate options and fat free greek yoghurt? It is really nice - I had forgotten about it until I read one of the posts about chocolate options drink - I think I will get some as its a nice dessert.
Food yesterday was limited as I had a sandwich and soup for lunch and then nothing else all day or night as I was at the hospital and they didn't even give me a cup of tea. I was on my own so couldn't get to the vending machine because of the drip and heart monitor, but I did have a bottle of water in my bag.
Today I haven't had anything to eat or drink yet because as soon as I got in the house this morning I had to take DD1 to college (ex DH had come to mind kids) and have only just got back, but now I am past the hunger thing and don't feel like anything. I may just have a milky decaff coffee and wait until I get hungry. I had bought some Morrisons half price pork for yesterdays roast dinner so I will do that for tonight with carrot and swede, cauliflower, stuffing and dry roast potatoes and my latest discovery - Sainsburys BGTY instant gravy mix - it is reeeeeeeally lovely and very low in calories and no fat! Cheap too - can't remember how much but only about 60p a tub.
Anyway have a mountain of ironing to get through and I set the telly to record Lewis before I went up to the hospital so I want to watch that.
Have a great day!Jane

hello i would like to join this wonderful thread please and post daily with menu planner etc??
i weigh in at a shamefull 19stone 2 lbs that was hard but need a kick up the bottom to do something
i've been on fat busting tablets and appetite suppressent tablets from the doctors but somehow manage to find a way around them so i can eat lots.
i feel that all i do all day is think about food what i can eat next and often i can graze all day not feeling hungry but still doing it.
we're going on holiday in august and have bought a cricket set which i want to be able to play with with the kids.
i'm a stay at home mum but know that doesn't make any difference as when i worked i was still fat.
feel as if i've rambled enough so here's what i plan to eat today.
breakfast - porridge, dried fruit and 1 tsp golden syrup.
lunch - hm bread egg salad sandwich with salad cream, apple and
yoghurt if needed
dinner - hm liver and bacon casserole, carrots and swede mashed,
cabbage and jelly for pudding
i know this is going to be very hard to stick to so will probably be on later asking for support

Hi Mary:hello: This is a great thread and loads of people are losing really significant amounts of weight without "dieting" IYKWIM.
I'm like you in that a) I have lots of weight to lose and b)I can graze all day and think about food all the time. I've had the fatbusting tablets from the doctor too but found that you could eat LOADS of bread and pasta and stuff and not get the dreaded side effects so it made little or no difference to me.
I am currently stay at home Mum but I was just as fat when I was working - so that is very definitely not the reason.
Your mealplan for today sounds great!
Oh yes - just editing to say that your weight is NOT shameful - you should be really proud of yourself for trying to do something about it! There are plenty of things in life which are shameful but being overweight is not one of them! There are loads of lifestyle choices which people make which are bad for their health - smoking, recreational drugs, binge drinking - but somehow these people are not pilloried like fat people are and it makes me really mad - smokers, alcoholics, drug addicts can all cut out their addiction totally and never have to go near it again, but imagine saying to a drug addict or an alcoholic "you can NEVER touch this stuff again, but we just want you to have a little bit three times a day!" We all have to eat regularly and prepare and cook food for our families so it is really hard to cut out stuff in that way, unless you're a celebrity and can afford to employ a chef! sorry rant over!
Good luck!Jane

Welcome Mary! This is the perfect place for you:D
I'm sure we will have room for another small one on Frogga's GMTV sofa oneday.
Glad your better Jane, I'm quite excited about the options greek yoghurt thing (note to self...get a life!;) ) Do you put the whole sachet in?
Well done Rockie, Nicki etc on your loses :T

Morning all. Well done everyone losing.
Had a good weekend. Made twink's hobnobs (and me,OH and kids ate them all over the weekend), cooked jacket spuds for the freezer for my lunches, made MrsM's tortilla dough balls for the freezer, made chicken stock after our roast, had a glass of wine or two
Still appear to be ¼ lb lighter than last week - I know it's only an ikkle bitty bit but I've been concentrating more on maintaining my loss so any extra bits are a bonus
Horrid weather here. Storm, hail, winds - and then sunshine, then hailHave to go out later - the car has been a bit stinky when it warms up, but only when stopped at lights etc - found out it's missing the oil filler cap
Must have been left off last time it was checked for oil - but don't think that was me
Will cost me a £5 to replace so bit annoying but still at least it's nothing worse. Got to get a new key cut too as it's temperamental with starting and Dad (mechanic) can't pinpoint why and said if the key has been dropped -
quite likely
- it may have messed up the chip bit inside that talks to the car immobiliser. So that's more money - just hope it sorts it out
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Well done Rockie and Nikki :T :T :T

Boiled egg and HM seedy bread fingers (only just had  )
Egg salad with jacket potato
Missed my breakfast so if I get hungry I've have red grapefruit and maybe some soft cheese on ryvita and apples.
Hubby got unexpected day off so he's just made me a coffee and popped You've got Mail on the dvd (love that!) so am off to take my position next to him on sofa and x-stitch.
Sees you all later.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

On the options greek yoghurt thing - you just stir in a whole sachet of options in your chosen flavour into a 150g tub of 0% fat greek yoghurt (or any natural yoghurt but I like the greek one as it is thicker) and then leave it for about five minutes so that the powder dissolves and it goes all fudgy and nice. Haven't thought about it for ages until someone said about having a drink of options before.Jane

.
I've already checked the teletext and listened to the local radio! The daft thing is everyone keeps asking me what's been happening but I haven't a clue! My next door neighbour - who is great at 'intelligence gathering' is away on holiday, as is the guy on the other side!!
It's got to be good though with that amount of police!
OH is at home today so he might find out......0
