I didnt look for it in tesco when i was in there last but i guess they must sell it. I think my frien got some in Holland and Barrett fior her mum who,is a coeliac.
Welcome Mary - hope you find plenty of inspiration from this site.
Rockie - any update on your neighbours? A few years ago my friends parents neighbours were busted - drugs baron and someone tried to shoot him!!!! - and her dad couldnt get his car off the path for 2 days due to forensics:eek: Now i realize this makes it sound as if they live in some real seedy area but honestly its not - just your average 3 bed semi leafy suburb kind of place.
MRSM - your ruining my GC with your recipes- you keep FORCING me out into the clutches of those nasty supermarkets to go and buy more stuff and cos i am week and a sucker for all the tricks mr t uses i never just buy that one thing always lots more as well!!!!

Night all,
Ate well for most of the day and then polished off the rest of the clementine cake as it was coming fast to its best before date! Not going to make any more cakes, I am the person to eat them all.
I had some dried apricots ( dont work for me Mrs MC!), prunes and two pears for breakfast, some soup and a small hm roll for lunch, spaghetti carbonara, small roll and the already confessed cake for dinner...so maybe just a pint of water now on the way to bed.
Congratulations to the losers, welcome to the newbies.
Caterina...would love to join you on your one stone challenge, am going to Australia for six weeks on 22nd May so would like to be able to have some room to move on the long haul flights...but I am carp at challenges and will wish you the best of luck and will try to stay with your loss.
Sleep well

Morning all,
So pleased for you Droopydrawers. WELL DONE! :T :T
And mhe, bet that smile split your face when you read those scales... WELL DONE girl!
Caterina and Marie - I think that a holiday is a lovely incentive to lose a stone. Just imagine how great it will feel when you get on those planes.
I'm up for the BH May challenge after the GF one. :j I was also thinking that the BH's were good markers. Not sure what my challenge will be tho. Just trying to make it through this GF one first.
Rockie - Its a pity you don't have a mobile hairdresser.. they know EVERYTHING that goes on in the town. Mines been cutting my hair since I was 20 and she's never let me down in the 'gossip' department.
Food today:
Weetabix
Cheese salad sandwich on HM seedy bread
Cauliflower/broccoli in cheese& bacon sauce with jacket potato
Snacks - Red grapefruit and apples. (mandarins have gone :T )
Recovering- the Sophie Kinsella I've just finished is the new release 'Remember me.' Slightly different from her usual stuff but still totally nutty and brilliant.I'm an avid reader and reach for a book when I'm bored and likely to try and find entertainment in food, not that I'd ever do that!
X-stitch works too, even tho I didn't think I'd like it. I'm totally hooked on it now.
I've never heard of the 'little lady agency' books. Shall have to investigate. We have summer arriving and my neighbours bbq every other night...uummmm the smells... I need to be prepared with my book list so I'm too engrossed to notice.
Looking at this lovely sun I can't help envying Taplady. Bet she's having a lovely time with her mum and DS1.
Have a good day everyone ...AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Must be the bad weather forcing us to stay in & bake:D Yesterday I made:-
- steamed jam sponge for pud
- cheese straws
- flapjacks--would have been the infamous Twinks Hobnobs but I've written the recipe down wrong & left off the marg:o
- fruit cake
- cornflake & treacle tart for today's pud
- the granary loaf mix--Hovis, 75p in MrT...I added the marg & made a bloomer type, but can thoroughly recommend it for taste..unfortunately:p
From other posts, I'd like to add my two-penny'worth, so here goes
twitching curtains...me muvva is good at that, & living three floors up she gets a good view too! We keep telling her that she should have our iguana & Pup to keep her company, cuz they're just as bad:rotfl:
mixing flavoured yogs...try sugar-free instant whip too. We were told this was a 'free pud' when I did SW, but that was 16yrs ago:eek: & the thing then was to use fat free fromage frais--but can you get that now? I've not seen any for ages!!
agreeing with Spendaholic...I have said for years, that if I were an anorexic, the health professionals would be falling over themselves to help & find out why, but because you are over-weight, you're dismissed as being reckless & deserve everything you get. It is impossible to avoid food in the same way other addicts can ignore their triggers, & it's about time the whole population gave us a break:mad:
OK....I'm done.....the porridge bowl awaits:D

I'm in a really good mood today:D no idea why
Been good foodwise although the weather yesterday cut my steps total only did 2358:eek: but I'm not going to beat myself up about it:p
Guess what I'm going to book myself on a PADI couse for open water diving:j I'm thinking of doing it in June and I'd love to be slimmer thats 14 weeks until it starts, 20lbs is my aim but I'd be thrilled with a stone. I'm so excited  I've always wanted to do it properly and at 46 I think I'm not going to put it off anymore. If being seen head to toe in a tight rubber suit does not motivate me what will :rotfl:0 -
I was a bit bad last night, got the serious munchies...
Had tortellini w/ pesto and garlic bread for dinner (planned)

Not very OS, not very healthy, but made me happy!!
Today:
B: 2 x wholemeal toast w/ lime marmalade
L: leftover HM chicken balti (frozen from last week) and rice
S: orangeveg stirfry
Desert can be oranges (have about 6 navels and 2 blood oranges at home).

Well done on the loss :T
No news on the neighbours, we can't find anyone who knows anything  They're a very quiet couple who keep themselves to them selves but I've not seen her around for a few months...........
As for our area.......we had a bloke a couple of years ago who ran riot with a machete then a gun and the police shot him just as I was getting out of the car with my shopping   The whole area was sealed off for 3 days by forensics we were only allowed out with an escort and couldn't move the car for 3 days!! It's not toooooo bad round here, in between the gangs of drunken yobs and the fights outside the pub at the end of the street it's fairly quiet
Bad night last night, I felt cr*p, and I wanted to eat cr*p.......cake and bread and jam!! No better this morning, trains 45 mins late  so I was really late getting to work, just what you need when the boss is off ill and you're on your own
Just having a cuppa now, first since leaving home at 7.15!
Toast and marmalade for brekkie, couscous and roasted veg for lunch, on my own for tea so I'll see what I fancy when I get home.......
Pigpen - welcome back, I was wondering where you were
Saversarn - I would LOVE to learn to dive, I have a friend who's a diver and he's offered to let me have a go at his diving club. He offered to lend me his wife's gear - she's about 6" shorter than me and about 7stones!!!! Erm......I don't think so!!!!!
See you later folks, good luck to today's weighers :A0 -
(have about 6 navels and 2 blood oranges at home).
You found blood oranges  I'm so jealous. Can't find any at all and its not for want of looking either.
Don't think you did badly yesterday either bobbadog. A couple of biccies won't kill you.
Mmmm everytime I read about clementine cake and home cooked gammon my mouth is watering. Not cooked a ham this month and badly missing it. Must have a reckon up and see if I can afford one on my grocery challenge. :rolleyes:AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250
