Don't think you did badly yesterday either bobbadog. A couple of biccies won't kill you.
Mmmm everytime I read about clementine cake and home cooked gammon my mouth is watering. Not cooked a ham this month and badly missing it. Must have a reckon up and see if I can afford one on my grocery challenge.
I got 'em from my local grocers, but have seen them on quite a few markets down here... (South London - though I work on Oxford Street) - they're £1 for 4 though. The custard creams weren't too bad really - but i wasn't particularly shy with the Tortellini either! Oh well, hormones, I blame hormones!!!
OH has decided he fancies Nachos, salsa and chilli beans tonight and stirfry tomororw. Will go easy on the grated cheese (probably just eat the chili beans with crispbreads or something. Mmm). x0 -
I am fed up.
I know AF is here but for gods sake since last week i have put all 6lbs on, i might as well not bother.
Why did I have to be a greedy pig at the weekend, infact the whole week.
I think I'll starve myself for the rest of the week :rotfl:
b - nothing
l - 4 cracker breads each with a slice of plastic ham on
t - roast chicken dinner, i might have salad.

I've bought these a couple of times over the last couple of weeks. They are sold (at least here) as Sanguina Ruby Red. Lovely and sweet and juicy. They seemed to fall out of favour for a long time - don't know why as they are the best sort imvho.
Anyway, how, exactly does this thread work? If I keep posting on here will the Fat Fairy help me to magically lose weight? :rotfl:I can dream can't I?0 -
Queenpig it will just be water retention and bloat don't worry!
Know what you mean about the plastic ham mmmmmmmm
Does anyone know if not having butter/margarine on sandwiches makes a difference?
Also, am getting a pedometer later, how far is 10000 steps? Is it doable on a realistic, routine day?
Well done to all the losers! Big hug to the stay the samers and gainers !Compulsive Spendaholic #150 -

Queenpig.. I'm not doing well either!! Maybe we should change our names to slinky malinky!! It may well all be relative!
I love plastic ham *shame*
if you don't have butter/marg the food doesn't stick the sandwich together and your innards drop out.. you could use mayo or salad cream instead though.. that holds it together!!
10000 is EASY to achieve in a day.. I do about 3 times that on an average day!!! 3 or 4 school runs and just cleaning up and shopping account for the rest. A school run is about 400 steps for me! Going to make a cuppa is 100.. I am so sad!!
Terrys chocolate orange bar scoffed.. 210 calories... pig out number 1 of the day!!!!!!
I shall save the other bar for tomorrow
Am I allowed to replace 1 of my 2 sugars in every cuppa with 2 sweeteners?? I know all about how crappy the sweeteners are, that they are banned here there and everywhere but the amount of tea I drink it WILL make a massive diference, and as I am only replacing half the sugar it should be better than replacing it all.. in theory.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Can anyone recommend a good, realtively cheap, pedometer? x0
-
Queenpig needs a :grouphug:
(by that I mean hug! :rotfl: ).
Don't give up, its hard work but once you get back on track you'll be fine.
I'm feeling pretty good today too, have lots of annoying bitty tasks to do but will get round to doing some this afternoon.
Have been for an hours walk :T , I actually quite like walking in the drizzle, but maybe that makes me strange.... .
Todays food:
B. - 1 x shredded wheat and semi skimmed, apple
L. - Chicken or tuna and salad roll, tiny touch of mayo, apple and mullerlite
D. - tuna pasta bake.
Snacks/treats - nice big bowl of jelly in the fridge for nibble time!!
Am off to have my lunch now, am actually very hungary. Hope everyone has a good day. Good luck to those weighing in. To those whose motivation is flagging, just picture all those summer vests, skirts and swimming cossies you want to wear this August and how good you want to feel.....:D .
I've hung a beautiful black size 12 ( ) dress on my bedroom door so every morning I see it. Reminds me as to why I'm doing this and keeps my motivation pumping.
I'm definately up for May Bank Holiday challenge, thats 6 and a half weeks after Good Friday. As its quite a long time compared to the GF challenge, maybe we could aim for a 1 stone loss? But obviously we can knock this down if it sounds a bit too challenging! Maybe 9lbs?
Have a good day all x:eek: Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0 -
Can anyone recommend a good, realtively cheap, pedometer? x
I got a good pedometer from Milletts a couple of years ago and it cost £14.99. If you buy a really cheap one it probably won't be accurate. A couple of years ago all the children at my childrens' school were given a pedometer each as a way of getting them to be more active. They were rubbish. I wore one with my own and it registered at least double the number of steps. At least one child had one which started counting backwards! I bought a Tchibo one last year and that was rubbish too. Get a decent make which will only start registering after a few steps rather than with every slight movement. Mine is a . . . something beginning with an S. I'll go and have a look.
After all that I've just gone to find it and can't find it anywhere! It seems to have got lost in the recent move!0 -
Mine is from Millets too, they are still £14.99 and I too have been through some carp ones;)
10000 steps is very achievable if you are a SAHM, I used to do that just walking the dog in the morning then there were three school runs and I'd walk to the shops and do about 25000 a day.
These days I sit on my lardy !!!!! for 8 hours staring at a PC I work in a business park in the middle of nowhere so I get to drive, my car is on my drive my allocated parking is 5m from office door:rolleyes: Exercise needs to be planned (even my beloved dog now has a tumour in her paw and can not go on walks) It is difficult to get home from work at 6pm make dinner and go for an hours walk. But I am trying. 10k is doable but i really need to work at it these days.
If what pigpen says is true I will carry on with butter as I don't want my innards to escape!!0
