Fingers crossed for all you weighing in today:T

meals for me today..something along the lines of:-
    1. weetabix
    2. home cooked hammon with hm coleslaw
    3. feta and avocado salas
    4. fruit or yoghurts for snacks
Im hoping to build up enough motivation to start spring cleaning the house...think i will start with our bedroom today (start with the easiest;) )... 1 room a day should keep me occupied until hubby gets home on friday ;) plus the exercise won't go a miss-im planning on not spending anything else from my grocery budget before Friday -when i will replace the salad/veg im going to eat this week ... so no walking for me for a few days :p ....have to lose another 4lbs by Good Friday.... then we need to find another mini target .... whats the next big date on the calendar???

Hi, and welcome back Caterina :D ..... I reckon shifting 1st should be do-able..... come on -possitive thinking... you can do it :T

MHE -glad you are feeling a bit better ..

Right im off to get my brekkie..have a great day everyone and keep up the good work

  • morning everyone

i seem to have twisted my neck in the night and the weather here is HORRENDOUS! which calls for a bit of a lazy day today!!! :p i would actually like to do some housework and perhaps an exercise dvd, but i will see how it goes.

MRSM thanks for that tip. He's 2 and half, has always struggled with constipation since a tiny baby. I think its just that he loses concentration, there are so many more interesting things to do than that! I will try him with some stewed apricot. He is a big fruit eater generally - will eat a large tin of fruit at one sitting without a problem. And we generally have lots of apples/pears/oranges/raisins in the house - those are his faves.

The next 'big thing' i could find in the calendar is the official start of summer - 20 June. Only thing is its quite a way away, about 3 months from Good Friday. What does everyone think?

also i've found out you can freeze smoothies, saversarn i think you wondered about this too. it says you need to leave some room as it will probably expand quite a lot. ;)

    have a good day everyone.
looking forward to hearing all your WI results :T

I woke up feeling taller & slimmer today....weird huh? But perhaps the exceptionally early nights I've been having are helping to eat up the blubber, cuz I'm such a fidget...even Pup comes in for a snuggle but leaves again after 10mins cuz I'm wriggling so much:D

We are in the midst of the storms just now & it's supposed to be getting worse around lunch time & again tonight, so methinks little chance of a walk even if me knees were up to it.

Re the yoghurt thing.....someone somewhere said you can make yog using a thermos & ....that's all I can remember:o Any ideas? I lurve yogs but have to agree with MrsMc on the hazelnut. We used to like the rum & raisin ones too, & they stopped them cuz 'no-one liked them' CHEEK!

I was thinking of the May Bank Holiday Mondays as the next goal--six weeks after Easter on the 5th or nine weeks on the 26th May, just in time to start looking out the summer clothes:p

Good morning everyone, called in here and realise that the reason I probably lost motivation over the weekend was that I haven't had a chance to read up what's been going on. Had parents Friday and Sat nights and MIL and SIL came for a meal while they were here. It might have been the visitors, or it might have been the rhubarb and ginger crumble?

Finding it difficult to be motivated generally at the moment. I got some exercise (unusual for me!) in the form of gardening for quite a while yesterday afternoon. My a*** hurts today! spent most of the time on my kneeler stretching to the middle o the beds, bit too much of a stretch it seems!

I think I need to go an make a big bowl of porridge before some damage is done. See you all in a bit. I've really enjoyed reading what you've all been doing.

Thx for GL muffin recipe mhe. Does anyone good gluten free? Would I be able to sub gf flour for the wholemeal. I really need to do some of these, as I'm working away from home next week and over Easter and meals are sometimes difficult to come by!

    Hello one and all

thought id pop back as i have just finished blitzing our bedroom ..got into a whirl so i have done the bathroom too :T It now has that lovely gleam im sure is usually reserved for newly fitted bathrooms :p .... So i can enjoy it for the next few days..until hubby comes back filthy and stinking in a way only an army exercise can make you  ....

I have vacummed the bedroom and landing.. but am saving the stairs until about 1pm when Mrs next door goes to bed for a nap ;) mean i know, but if she won't be reasonable about that flaming dog barking all the time then needs must and all that . Its bad enough when they go out and it keeps on barking for about an hour...but my real irritation is like she is doing now..she is in the house but has shut the dog out in the garden and it is barking its head back off to be let in and she is ignoring it  .... i can here it over my radio..even at the front of the house with all my windows shut... i like to let loads of air into the house...and am getting really peeved at being forced to shut them to try and reduce the noise...
So, as her bedroom backs onto my stairs -you will be amazed how long its going to take me to vaccum them..loudly... and do i fancy listening to Bon Jovi..or def leppard whilst doing it ;)
Mind she should be grateful as she will make her little one go to bed... his room backs onto my bathroom -but im not willing to make him suffer..mind she only bl**dy ignores him anyway

Right...deep breath and rant over :o

Apart from that everything is tickity boo :D

Well done rockie :j chuffed to little mintballs for you :T :T ..
of course its friendly concern... i reckon i get it from my lovely dad.. he always sat at the table by the window watching the world go by :D

BigmumaF.. rum n raisin ice cream used to be one of my faves   .... and the choc ices mmmmmmmm
May bank holiday could be a good date for the next target and then the official start of summer for the following one ..well spotted ladies :T i am awful with dates :o .... hubbies birthday is the 23rd of June so thats about 14 weeks... even at 1lb thats still another stone gone :D ..then our next big date is the 4th August (our wedding anniversary) hmmmm even if its just another 1 1/2st by then i will be happy enough mind if i could shift 1st 11lbs in the 21 weeks until then that would make me 14st.... that is lighter than hubby has ever seen me :T and who knows i may even treat myself to a new out fit and take hubby for a lovely meal to an Italian place near by that is absolutely stunning inside :D ...... Right thats it...that is my LONG TERM GOAL ... to lose 1st 11 by the 4th August :D

Right folks had better go and give my mum a call and catch up on the gossip from over the weekend ;)

Keep up the great work folks

    Morning.

I have just told my friend to get over here so shes coming down, I'm worried about her, she found a lumb in her brea$t last monday I think it was and shes at the hosp on friday she is really worried and making her self ill because of it, apart from listening I dont know what to say?

    B - nothing
L - salad or crunchy nut
t - home made soup and bread......needs to get bread machine on

    snacks fruit yogurt and teas.
    Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
    Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:
  • just realised, didn't put my meals for today in last post!!
    b: weetabix
l: crackers w. low fat g&h sft cheese, yoghurt w. tbsp of granola (makes it more filling)
    d: jacket potato & salad

    quite a :A day today!

i had an idea that perhaps it might be quite motivating so see as a group how much we lose every week/month in total. between us we are losing whole stones at a time! what does everyone think? if anyone is a bit :o about sharing how much they lose or gain i don't mind if people PM me then i could update one a week (mon-sun) or a month, depending on what people think, how much we have lost altogether for that week. i will take into account gain as well as loss.

    xx
