    Evening ladies

Well done on the losses folks :T

just thought i would pop by and see how everyone is doing :D

Had my feta salad for dinner -have to say that the organic feta was the best i have ever had..so will be getting loads more of that for the fridge -before the price goes up ;) €1.15 for a block is good going and we only used 1/3 of it between 2 ..i also had 2 thin slices of home made bread with butter... it was the equivalent of my normal 1 slice -but by making it thinner -my head thiks its getting more :rotfl: ..the tomatoes were the nicest so far this year and the boiled beetroot was lovely n sweet -so todays dinner has to be a fave :D

Ended up having a nana for brekkie, leftover pasta n meatballs for lunch and a couple of pieces of fruit.. so im happy with todays food... and did 1h2 15mins and 6000 steps -well to the supermarket and back..don't count whilst im pottering about:D

Recovering spendaholic...sugar free jellie used to be my saviour... a bit of chopped fruit in the bottom, and then when you go to eat it add a dollop of fruity yog or fromage frais... and its not a bad alternative to a trifle ;) especially if you make them in individual dishes.... feel more of a treat than dolloping it out of a big bowl . Now im just onto either fruit or yogs, mind when the warm weather gets here i will use up the jellies i have left... can only get the sugar free strawberry ones in the NAFFI and they are my least fave:rolleyes:

hope everyone is ok, and looking forward to the weekend..
keep up the great work everyone..we are getting there folks :j

    Morning ladies.
Yesterday was not my finest hour- I was a tad disappointed with the 1lb weight loss, then the sugar puffs:rolleyes: (food of the devil) didn't fill me up so lunch was eaten by 10.45am so a trip to the pub for a sausage sandwich and a pint:o at 1.30pm for lunch the sequal, then a small bag of buttons when I filled the car up:confused: by the time I got home I recovered enough to have poached haddock spinach and egg, but not proud:o
However, today is going to be a good day:A
    B- HM smoothie
L- maybe 1 slice cheese on toast and yoghurt (compensating for yesterday)
D- Gorgeous fresh cod fillet and salad no pots today:D

Also my sluggish mood yesterday only resulted in 5000 steps but I think I will still hit my weekly target if I get a wiggle on;)
Toniworthy- my brain went that way too!
MrsM your last weigh in was 7th March;)
Pigpen hope you feel better soon
    Cheerfulness
hope the Haircut is nice- I'm desperate for one.
I'm off for a walk into town and will pick up some of the extra large tablets Rockie recommends for my joints.
Hi to all you girls

    Morning all.

Had to drag myself out of bed this morning as feeling somewhat grotty. (TOTM) Going to have a really lazy, spoil myself day today and then I'll be as fit as a fiddle tomorrow. :)

Glad to see you're doing okay mhe - had visions of you quietly sat in the corner next to your breadmaker with cheeks like a hamster, filled with homemade bread. :p

The hairdo is great Saversan.. now I've stopped tugging at it and asking everyone if they don't think she's not cut the sides just a little bit too short. She's still left it long but put loads more layers in which has exposed my wavy hair under the top layer. I love it. :D

Weigh in day for me today and I've lost another 3lbs :j taking me down to exactly 20 stones now ... thats 2st 5lbs since I started 10 weeks ago so I'm extremely happy and a nightmare to be in the same room with today. ;) OH is humouring me by trying to look well impressed. :D

That now means that I've 3lbs more to lose for the GF challenge and I'm nearly up to my next reward from DS1. Actually I know what I want an I've already ordered and received it. :o
My pj's were badly sagging and we often part company when I'm going up the stairs (very dangerous  ) so when I saw a gorgeous pair for £5 in a sale online I ordered them. They're lovely and fit a treat. :p
We won't tell DS1 tho. :shhh: He'll get the bill when I've shifted that next 2lb and be none the wiser.

    Food today:
    Readybrek
Salmon and cucumber sandwich on HM seedy bread
HM sausages with potato & onion baked layer and steamed brocolli and brussels. (pinching a MRSMC idea ;) )

Treats - apples, banana and a few nuts

Right, must get dressed and make some sausages for the month and then I can pull out my x-stitch and veg with a movie until DH gets in at lunchtime.

See you all later and keep trundling on. ;)

    Morning all

I was up at 6:30 this morning  and out of the house for 6:45  ...went golfing with hubby... well i walked he hit the little white ball ;) ....it was lovely...all misty but warm :p saw several groups of deers playing, a fox n 2 cubs, an eagle and numerous bunnies n birds :j so that was me entertained..
Most surprising of all was that i didn't get one ache, pain or twinge...it was a doddle even though it was upsy downsy and in parts being a mountain goat would have helped :rotfl: I was chatting all the way round and ran....yes RAN up most of the hills -its easier than walking ;) got back into the car and had done a fraction off 16,000 steps  and feel great :T

Had a banana for brekkie -not that i was actually awake
another one half way round the course
and for lunch we are about to have the same feta salad as we had yesterday nomnomnom

Cheerfulness :T :T on the loss..thats brilliant..bet you have got jaw ache from all that grinning. Sooo happy for you :j

Thanks Saversarn..will go and change that :p ...guess my brain has turned to mush too :rotfl:

MHE.... i just make my normal white bread dough and break it into small balls, flatten them and mash butter with garlic and a bit of salt... put a dollop in the middle and pinch the dough together around it and put in a small sandwich tin so they will all tough when the have proved for a while then whack it in the oven..then you can tear them apart mmmmm

right i had best get off and see to lunch -i could chew the leg off a scabby donkey at the moment :p ...
hope everyone has a great weekend...keep up the god work everyone :T

  • Hello everyone - Cheerfulness - well done on the loss - you are doing soooo well! Are you just doing your own thing or are you adhering to principles of WW/SW etc?

Mrs M - I'd need new knees and hips if I did 16000 steps in one go!

Saversarn - I know how you felt yesterday, but try and put it behind you - one day at a time and all that...

I wasn't great yesterday and have been up alot in the night as DD1 didn't come home. I rang Boots (she works there on a Saturday) and they said she had come in this morning so at least I know she is alright - she's just an unthinking selfish madam. Last night when she was getting ready I noticed she had swiped a bottle of vodka out of the drinks cupboard and stuffed it into her bag to go out so while she was up in the loo I poured the vodka down the sink and refilled the bottle with water and replaced it in her bag. I have also this morning poured all the remaining (there wasn't much as I don't drink at all and only have stuff in for visitors) alcohol down the sink so there isn't anything left for her to pinch. As I've been typing she has just rung up to tell me to bring her converse trainers to the shop because her feet are hurting grrrrrrrr.......

Breakfast this morning was hm banana yoghurt smoothie shake thing
Lunch will probably be leftover tuna concoction on wholemeal bread with a cup of soup
snack - don't know but might make another shake thing as it was v. nice. - I have some frozen blackberries so might use them in it instead of banana.
Dinner - stir fry Asda good for you steak strips with mushrooms and onions and a little bit of low fat soured cream (sort of poor mans beef strogonoff) with rice and green salad, followed by sugar free jelly thingies a la Mrs M!

I weighed myself this morning and have lost 1lb since starting again last Monday - not great but better than nothing, given that I have had a few blips. I am not going to weigh myself until next Saturday so hopefully I will have a better loss then - fingers crossed!

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Hiya Recovering - I think what you did with the vodka was genius! :rotfl: :rotfl: Kids- nil Parents- 1 :T

I decided some time back that I'd had it with dieting and clubs... they'd rule my life for the past 30 yrs so enough was enough... I was going to sing to my own tune now.
I'd just planned to just cut portion sizes and eat exactly what I wanted without banning anything, when I came upon this thread. Not only were others thinking along the same lines but they'd been successfully doing it. Was all the confirmation I needed to start out eating that way, regardless of the negatives comments I got in the beginning from some thinking it would never work. Its certainly the easiest weight I've ever lost and it gets easier and easier. (Thanks for telling me that MRSMc a few weeks back..it's true! ;))

You've done really well to lose this week after all the stresses you've had. Maybe time you came first for a bitty in your house while you're getting well again. ;)

Afternoon everyone... well cheerfulness and recovering spendaholic :rotfl:

Where is everyone today??? no doubt lots at work i guess....

Wanted to pop by to say :Ton the loss recovering... and i second that well done on the vodka saga :rotfl: guess DD can't say anything - unless she wants to admit to nicking it out of the house in the first place ;) ..i would have been wetting myself if i was you.. hope you greeted her with a satisfied grin when she got back....
Hope the sugar fre jobbies go down well... i love them... the orange or raspberry are my faves... think im going to have to get my lovely mum to send me some out for the summer ..... the things we send back n forth :rotfl:

cheerfulness.... isn't life so much easier when you don't have to think "have i enough points left?" etc.... just knowing that i can now go anywhere without having the stress of panicing about what i can eat is amazing..

Forgot to say, when we popped out yesterday to LIDL.. i picked up some sugar free toffees with cherry and some with raspberry..... i allready drink gallons of water but sometimes i get that dry sticky mouth and wanted something to chew.. well i thought these would be chewy fruit.. thinking it was the German translation...tried one and NO they are actually toffes with fruit bits in  ... such an odd combination to start with..but after much chewing on one..i have decided that they taste like donuts with rapberry jam in  .... they are only 20cals each... not that im planning on chomping them wily nilly (left them in the car..just in case)..only tried one yesterday and a cherry this morning... but they are quite something. I don't understand how out here you can get soooo much stuff that isn't in the UK...

right i had better get off and finish getting dinner sorted.. doing hubby a cornedbeef n vegetable puff slice thingy with roasties n beans..not sure if i will have a bit or not yet as im really not hungry :j

have a great evening ladies...and keep up the great work
oh and hello to everyone busy working or out having fun :D
